The range is not within walking distance of the campsites. It's probably between a 5 to 10 minute drive just off the "middle road"

Range @ The Cove

The Cove has 3000 acres. The range is away from the camping area.

The Cove welcomes responsible and legal gun owners with legal guns. The range is open from 8:30 AM until 30 minutes prior to dark. Tracers and armor piercing rounds are prohibited. .50 caliber is allowed. Your rounds need stay in the berm.

Trap/skeet is allowed. You will need to bring your own thrower/launcher.

Okay, so who is going? I'm trying to make it down Friday and leave Saturday. I'll bring some firepower too.

Okay, I will bring one or two long guns and one of the companions. .223 cal and 9mm if someone wants to bring ammo.

And even if someone wants to use it, I will un-zero one of the AR and you can have fun re-sighting.

My only condition: ( aside from safe handling and use ). you will recite to me:
I am not forbidden to own a firearm of this type, I am not under the influence, and never convicted of an act of violence neither have been hospitalized for a period of time that will deprive me from owning a firearm.

The we structured the fees payable to The Cove, you could wheel/camp from Friday noon to Saturday noon if you wish. You would only pay The Cove for one day and you could be home for Saturday night.

We are having a Halloween costume contest and candy for Trick or Treaters Saturday night. I'm lining up some prizes for the contest. You can bring the whole family.

Last year, Camp Rock Enon, the boy scout camp neighboring The Cove Campground hosted a Haunted Woods. They said it was pretty good. I'm trying to confirm that it is on for this year.

Not unless Randy persuades his dad to borrow his D90 for the weekend and I get to run his new LR4!... However, I have one condition, we don't trailer the D90 down with the Randy's LR4.

Still planning on making this next weekend.

If you guys know of a caravan of trucks making the trip down from up here, let me know. I think this will be the longest trip in my truck so far, believe it or not.

Also, I'm bringing down a set of wheels and tires for a fellow member if someone has a little room for a tire. The 90 will fit all of the tires, but probably not all of the tires plus pillows (for the gf and me), equipment bag, etc.

Also, are you guys doing a cabin or just camping? This will be my first event, as I was not able to attend MAR. Thanks guys!

Oh, and it looks like I'd head out Friday afternoon.
