ROAV Summer Rally in Mountain Lake, Va

Same place as last year, July 30th- August 1. Details coming soon. There is a new rock garden on Wheatland Farm that will be open for the first time, and we will be sending out a guided ride to Pott's Mountain again.

Me too! Is there no Front Line in this battle between owners and pet haters? I would flea that area if I knew they were so anti dog. It's a ticking time bomb about to go Off. What pests!

Indeed...the fur is flying.

In all seriousness- why they waited 3 weeks to announce the no pet policy is beyond me.

I am not sure im going to go to this now.

Christina from ROAV just confirmed for me. No Pets.
One of the many reasons that I drive a ROVER!!! Dog friendly crowd.
Now I have to tell them they can't come, no wait, I can't do it.. Mybe I'll take them up to Rauch instead.

Summer Rally Event weekend walk-up registrants are always welcome, but please keep in mind that having enough t-shirts cannot be guaranteed. Unfortunately, there is a "no pet" policy at Mountain Lake that we need to be mindful of.

the conservancy that controls all the land around mountain lake has a no dogs policy, not ROAV. Dogs are welcome on all the trails, but I know that does not help with the camping issue. We had a slew of dogs at the spring rally, and dogs are most welcome to the MAR in October. I for one will not be looking for dogs, if you know what I mean.

That was Shrek when Doug still had it, he and Cabell did the first night run at Wheatland, ended up driving through the cows at the bottom of the property.

Remember that moment/evening well. There was a bolder under the rear diff that kept picking the truck up and trying to launch it down hill into a tree 6 inches away. For those who haven't been to Mountain Lake this is an awesome venue with both fire roads and private trails. I'm out as usual do to other commitments.

not sure about the next closest camping, White Rocks is the next closest that I know of. If I remember correctly, that is open camping in the forest, no fees or anything, about 4-5 miles from the Lake. Give me a call or pm me, I will see what we can work out. 434 227 seventy nine hundred.

yes I have a new son, he is a little embarrased by all his blonde hair. He is really sweet though and is happy to clean up leftovers.

The dog thing sucks ass. So, dogs cool on trails, not at camp. If I come, I will be staying at White Rocks for sure.
