Good to see old friends and meet some new folks. Note to self don't sit next to Newman during raffles. The man expects to win and gets pretty keyed up....

As predicted the trails keep getting better. Great event, thanks to the board members for their work putting it on.

In Rick's defense there was one table winning A LOT....it just wasn't ours!

Was a very good event, with some cool terrain. ROAV has a good thing going here. Was great to see everyone.

It was great to meet so many of you, the stories coming through registration were great. Next year i will have my truck with me.

Big thanks to all the sponsors for their support!
Matt and Land Rover Richmond for being our title sponsor!
Eric Riston at Atlantic British for the pile of gift certificates worth over $600! It looked like many of them went to folks who needed them for repairs this week.

RoversNorth and Great Basin Rovers for providing gift cards recovery goods, maybe we should have raffled those at the BEGINNING of the rally.

Justin at Lucky8 for sponsoring as well as showing up form snowy Buffalo to lend a hand on the trail as always.

Mountain Khakis for providing gift cards, a few drivers may have needed a change of pants...

And a big thanks to the people that came out to help clear the trails and make the event possible. Now the planning begins for the MAR in October.

Hey....easy there big guy. You didn't even know you won that light. The one table had to rent a u haul by the end of the evening!
I will take my gift certs and my shirt and be very happy.
It was great to see everyone. Raub made me feel very at home riding in his 110. Steve crunched his LR4.... Jimmy got a dent...a couple of flats on some other trucks.....but all in all a good time was had by all.
On to Uharrie!

The last run of the event was great. Second time with this old girl off pavement. She's a little tough convincing to stay in low range but once her front hubs are locked she prances like a college co-ed in heels and a mini skirt again.

More photos from Saturday....

We had to move around a big rock in the middle of the trail. Here is the LR4 (the one that lost the tire) getting a little close.

I was nervous going around that rock in my D90, I thought for sure the LR4 would have body damage from it.

As Justin and I were discussing amidst him getting around this rock...the 3/4's are big girls...and the downhill illustrated they are quite heavy too!

MT pointed out this afternoon that there was a few flakes of white paint on that big rock....don't know who the victim was.

Thanks Nomar! Gutter only as Ray pointed out. Wonder if there was any modification for the gutter mounts under the NAS cage. I think I found my roof storage system...

You probably would have gone faster if you left that sweet-ass trailer behind
