No question. Though, Justin was nice enough to offer my truck a spot on his trailer to the event, I just can't take off the 4 extra days.

Worked on trails this morning.
Anyone wanna help trail prep next Sat?
A few extra hands would help open up the trail network...

Extra hands!
Chainsaws are pretty well covered.
We coulda used a few rakes today; the leaves covering some of the trails were deep!
Might be good to have rakes, leafblowers, shovels--- we're building roads!

Chainsaws always come in handy---there are a lot of trees in the "road".
Some of these trails look they havent been driven in 25 or 30 years.
I just didnt want you to feel obligated to lug a chainsaw down...

Event Schedule

All -

I just updated the original post with the Schedule of Events.

One of the key points is that our trail rides will be guided. We have gotten a lot of feedback on this from past events and we are seeking volunteers that can help spread the load and facilitate more and smaller groups to add to the flexibility of the rides. The best way to be able to help out is to come help on one of the work weekends to learn the lay of the land and the specifics about the trails and the property.

Also -reminder to register and book your hotel room. Pre-Registrations with T-shirts end March 28th.

Events Schedule

Friday, April 4th

2:00 PM - Onsite Event Registration and Vehicle Classification Opens
4:00 PM - Lodge Check-in opens for Attendees
6:00 PM - Evening Scenic Trail Drive - Meet @ Lodge
7:30 PM - Dinner on your Own Scenic Trail Drive shall have a leg that breaks off to allow participants to exit at the base of the Mountain for Brewery stops

Saturday, April 5th

7:30 AM - Morning Coffee & Light Fare at Rally Control
9:00 AM - Club Meeting & Briefing at Rally Control Mtg. Room - all attendees are required to attend. Trail terrain to be previewed by Trail Master.
9:15 AM - 1:00 PM - Morning Trail Drives (scenic, intermediate and aggressive)
1:00 PM - Lunch Break (pack your own)
2:00 PM - 6:30 PM - Afternoon Trail Drives, Winery Tour, Spa, Hiking, and other activities available
7:30 PM - Dinner at Lodge
8:30 PM - Sponsor Raffle and Prize Give Away

Sunday, April 6th

7:30 AM - Morning Coffee and Light Fare at Rally Control
9:00 AM - 11:30 AM - Morning Trail Drive, Hiking, Spa and other activities available
Noon - Lodge Check-out and Event Closes
Afternoon - On your own to explore. The Resort is open.

The Friday evening trail drive shall be scenic in nature. Both trail drives on Saturday (morning and afternoon) shall be guided on private trails on the Wintergreen Resort property, and nearby Blue Ridge Parkway. Sunday's trail drive shall be flexible based upon interest.

ROAV Trail Rules dictate that all vehicles must be accompanied by a Guide. The Trail Master and his crew will be guiding all trail drives. Those that are interested in helping out as a trail guide are encouraged to attend the work weekends. Please be respectful of all terrain, as we are on private property. Tread Lightly. Be mindful of all safety concerns during recovery operations. CBs and FRS radios are recommended.

Davo - I will get in touch with you. I plan on being there this Saturday to help out. I can also guide, but will need to confirm participation later. So put me down as TBC for guiding on the day.

See ya sat.

Many thanks to Justin at Lucky 8 for being a sponsor and bringing a lift kit for the LR3 for the raffle as well as some other great items. He will be down that weekend, so check in with him for any questions on all your options for prepping your vehicle.

Looks like I'll be making out to this one. I'll probably head out that way Friday after work and head back to Richmond on saturday evening.
