Yes....it is private. ROAV has exclusive use of property, per the ROAV web site.

The property is private but I don't think ROAV has exclusive use year round. I suspect that was just for last weekend. I also doubt they will allow camping because they're a resort with rooms, condos and houses to fill. I like the idea but don't see it happening on the resort property. The owner is a big Land Rover fan but what I think we'll see is higher end schools/clinics for resort guests and events for clubs willing to rent rooms and use their catering services. Great for a winter event IMO.

A few more from the camera, including some of Mike B's 110 in action.

The Wintergreen Foundation owns the property. In talking to Mike Boggs who laid out the trails, part of the ground work for laying out these trails involved time spent in the Nelson County courthouse land records dept making sure we stayed on Wintergreen's property, a big hats off to the guy and all the leg work he did to make the event happen. The trail we ran Saturday had been advance run by a single truck which blew a rear diff and winched its way out so most of this was by no means "established". We dropped 4 or 5 small tree's as the group made its way through as trucks slid sideways etc to avoid carnage.

This venue is invitation only and they want designated groups out- ie no running it on your own. Event insurance also required....

And many, if not all the trails were gated and locked and will remain so I'm sure.

Bummer...maybe Boggs will set up a continual "trail making" program. Seems as if it is to be a nice "premier" spot for LR and others they will need continual trail maintenance - or maybe trail making!

yep. I think the trail building weekends would be the best-they usually are in my experience.
