Bah. It would be much more fun to give me a ride up to Trevors and we can check out his 109 too before wheeling!

Realistically, 9.30-10am. Wife's on call, gotta get the animals fed and the young one off to school. Takes me about 45-50 minutes to get there.

Wish I could go as I haven't been on trail in a while but it's a little bit of a haul for me. One of these days....

2 Rovers, the entire park to ourselves, the clouds socked in on Mt. Rausch Creek for the entire day. Multiple recoveries from Black Hole and Lake Christy with a broken marker lamp and lightly dented LF wing on the D90LE and a smashed LF T/S lens on the 109. On the same tree, on the same hill climb out of Lake Christy.
One episode of wet ignition on the 109 and a need to overide the electric fan set up on the D90.
The dog slept very well last night- we kept throwing sticks into the water hazards to check depths: "Yep, he's swimming" or "He's walking on the bottom, think that'll support a full size Rover?"
Good times!

I have a friend who swamped his rig in Lake Christy. He would of made it, but he lost traction when his rig started floating. When he was recovered, he opened his door and water came flooding out. Lots of damage to his rig

Would love to do Rausch in my D90 this summer, so let me know if you go again I'll probably stay on the edge of the lake if we go to the lake .

After having to cancel on three other previous weekends, it just worked out this way....
I'll post some pix later, but we WERE on the edge of Lake Christy...
I'm only 45 mins (53 by Series!) away, so I'd be happy to meet up with folks for a weekender...
