Hey did everyone relize there is camping at the park and it's included in the wheeling price?

How much does it cost?
We require all persons 16 and older to become members of the park. The membership costs $10 and is good for a year from the date you join. This membership requirement applies to passengers as well as drivers. Once you are a member, the daily entrance fee for the vehicle and its driver is $25.00. Passengers are $5 each with children 15 and under free. Included in your daily fees is free primitive camping. Please note that on the day a passenger joins the park and pays the $10 annual membership, the $5 passenger fee is waived that day.

Would it be a good idea to meet at the motocross office on sat am as we would have to register the later-comers any way?

Chris, Mike, Ken: I am concerned that the group I had invited has invited others and it appears to be growing. As near as I can tell, we may have 15-18 vehicles by Saturday. I know this was your gig and I'm not sure if it is even a problem to you guys, but it wasn't what is was expecting, and I wanted to make you aware.

Is Chris's Disco going to be ready? When I last saw it, the top half of the engine was missing and all 4 tires were flat with the full weight of the vehicle on them!

It did look rather sad sitting on the lift like that.

Trevor Combs and Jason Bard (Disco) said they'd be going. Tony Brooks (again) is being anti-social.

I'll call Rausch Creek (Bruce Shallis) to confirm tomorrow.

Hmm... going up there tonight for other reason but I will need to look at this.

As for Rausch, still trying to work out arrangements for the dogs and the boy. Not sure if just one truck or both, not sure which days if I cant do the whole weekend.

Basicly, not sure of anything anymore it seems. LOL

Trevor G. - Got your email, sorry I have not replied yet. I dont personally have a problem with anyone wanting to come out. Never having been to Rausch before, I dont really know what to expect but I agree with previous suggestions that it will most likely be best, and most likelyenought people, if groups got split up to move though trails better.

ok.. off to see my disco

Chris

I talked with Bruce Shallis of Rausch Creek Park today. Yep, XTerras will be there on Sat/Sun and they're camping too. The campground is "primative" without water supply and a single porta-potty. "Camp C" is a bit separated from the staging area and that's where the XTerra guys reserved a few months ago. We could camp in an area adjacent to the staging area. Again, "primative", no water, single porta-potty. It does have fire rings though!

What are y'all's thoughts on Echo Valley Campground? It's only a few miles away, it'll have showers, toilets, a restaurant, and lots of good throwing sticks. I can see if they'll cut us a D-90 Source deal, too.

I'm flexible. I've slept in worst places. I just thought that camping next to the staging area with no water might not be the accomodations-of-choice.

Facilities sound good- I'm in for Echo Valley. They are dog friendly? Open fires friendly?

Dog and fire friendly, that's what the web site implies. I'll ask when I talk to them.
