Winchfest?! I've been on a good chunk of the Barlow Road -- where did you all end up?

Meh, I have a beer and can relax in the hotel room before a shower. I think everyone else is focused on family and personal hygiene.

Here are a few pics I shot with the phone as we settled down onto Barlow Road. I completely forgot to keep taking pictures later.

The sign about the road being unmaintained would prove to be a strong omen.

We made it as far as we could before encountering a locked gate. Rather than circumvent the Forest Service, we called it a day.

The winching was not due to mud, but trail obstacles.

Once you get to the east side of the mountain, you usually get good weather. ....well... unless you are like me and have your canvas tent blown down in a storm (right in the area where some of those pics are) and your wood stove thrown down and over and the camp kitchen destroyed. But that's a different story.

Looking forward to seeing your route and more pics. I would have loved to have come, but I'm still working on stuff here. We leave at 3:00 am tomorrow.

Photos up loaded

Uploaded my photos to Facebook, should be a public album. Didn't want to bog down this thread with 30 huge images.

Do you have to have a Facebook account to see the public albums?

If so I can try and find somewhere else to post them.

Nope. I have a very small internet footprint. No worries. The pics I've seen were fantastic! What an obstacle ridden trail! Could have used another chain saw and some dynamite! ;-)

It was an epic weekend. Great friends, awesome campsite with its own hillbilly rave crowd giving us a fine display of fireworks, how high can you rev a Honda civic motor competition, and not to forget who has the bigger badder jacked up 4x4. All between the hours of 8pm - 4am.

Although just a night and partial day, I think the group managed to reenact several stories of the Camel Trophy events. Dang, who forgot the chainsaw. We had to finally be rescued by the local Jeep crew who had a chainsaw. Their reaction to Josh's decal "Its not a &@$?ing Jeep" was classic.

I will load a fee images and have to go through the videos and edit.
