I've been following your trip on Instagram (I just started actually following you @carcampingcollective). Let me know if you come through NYC!

I'm south of you in Oceanside, there's probable 4-5 guys on here in between you and I. If you're going south I'd be down for a beer! Pinion seal went out last weekend on a 3 day camp trip at big bear, so I can go too far without spitting out all my read diff gear oil hahaha

Great couple! Hosted them and tried to figure out some wiring issue. Although I couldn't solve the problem I gave them a decent trail fix to keep them going.

I'm going to do a quick crossing as I'm short on time but would be great if our paths cross. I hope make Denver by 8th sept then through CO, UT, NV and then over to CA and end up around 18/19th at SFO for the return flight!

Meet up

That would be awesome. We are in LA right now but will start making our way back to Miami soon because my girlfriend has a plane to catch on Sept 28th. But let's see if maybe on our way back east we can cross paths somewhere

Ping the NOVA crowd if you pass by Virginia/Washington DC/Maryland. We'll make sure we host you decently.

Agreed - we did the same and look forward to seeing them again someday.

Still popping fuses on the light circuit I assume?

Yup they were still popping fuses. The fuse is for the convoy light setting (which is a light for the rear diff, hadn't seen that before and thought it was pretty neat). The issue seems to be that when the lights are on normal driving mode (6 position military light switch) it was popping the fuse for the convoy light and then all the rear lights went out. We didn't have time to trace the wires from the fuse back to see why this happened. I couldn't reproduce the short either. Field fix of adding a maxi fuse holder so they could at least use the common spade fuses to get home as they are almost out of the hard to find glass fuses.
