Ha! Say that in the morning when you are sinking in the mud while making breakfast. The ExPo West motto became........

Enjoy and try to stay dry my friends.

My buddy who lives in Swannanoa says it's gonna be a hellhole - and the river there is expected to massively flood.. Stay safe, guys.

It's really slimey here - just getting to the back of the campground can be challenging. Five inches of rain predicted for tomorrow. Lots of Rovers but not as many as last year.

It was fun but we rolled out this afternoon. All of our driving courses got canceled and they were limiting all vehicle movement.

I know the weather sucked but it seems like the mud issue was an issue last year as well. If I remember the property owner was concerned about his place getting torn up I'm wondering if that was a contributing issue this year. If so maybe other sites should be looked at. After all, it is an event for 4x4's and OHV's

That almost certainly is the problem. I don't think they would be concerned about people in 4x4's getting stuck, although I may be wrong.

Do you remember how badly Pearls Pond was torn up a few times of the rainy MAR years?

A tractor and some repairs fixed it every time and the property owners were satisfied there.

For a minute, I thought you had planned it.

Bummed we didn't get to hang out more while we were there.

David Porter came up Thursday and left Friday - you pulled in soon after he left. It did cause some confusion.

The social was great with all the florida crowd in camp. Rain washed that fun out though. May do MAR next year to mix it up. Will wait to see weather forecast in Sep 2016 to decide. I'm expecting tornadoes or volcanic eruption in Asheville next year.

I would really like to see some of the vendors but I'm not missing MAR next year.
The first year was great, this year sounded like a cluster

Dale and Jennifer recently moved to Atlanta from Oregon. They've been all over the west in that Series truck - lots of exploring in Death Valley. The camper is a 1964 Apache pop-up. Dale says its been upside down more than once. Nice folks and serious off road explorers.
