Lets be honest, its about the people, not the event. You guys could all go to someones farm and have just as much fun as you would at Expo.

Exactly, and except for Rick, we pretty much have all decided MAR is a better venue for us.
Conversely last time @ MAR I found a hillbilly on craigslist selling firewood locally and had him deliver an entire pickup load of seasoned cherry and locust to our campsite. We had one hell of a campfire all weekend, Bobeck even took the leftovers home to DC.

^That's a Bingo. While I did have an absolute blast last year at Expo, it was pretty much because of Rick! Likewise MAR seems to be a better setup for what we all are looking for, PLUS we get to support Dave Short's efforts ...and it's 1/2 the distance that Expo was (another big plus!).

I'm bailing out of Expo and heading North to MAR. It's almost the same distance away but open fires, trails, and entertainment by Robert Davis are all big plusses.

Well said Bo, but I've already paid, and will probably see and do all the above at URE12!

Wonder where that came from ... Same plan for me. $90 is too much for one night at expo

You 100% right, but it looks like there all going to MAR. The rover folks anyway.. I did the full deal at expo last year and it was nice but... I'll wait to do it again. Nice event just would rather be on the trail.
