This year's Overland Expo is shaping up to be incredible, if any of you have the chance to come visit beautiful southern Arizona in April. Overland Journal
is once again a title sponsor of the event, which is produced by Conserventures.
Tom Collins, of Camel Trophy fame, is returning as an instructor, and Duncan Barbour from England, also a CT veteran, is coming as well.
In addition, several legends in the expedition community will be guests, speakers, or instructors: Harold Stephens, who wrote Who Needs a Road
, about the longest trip around the world in a Land Cruiser in 1967; Ted Simon, who wrote Jupiter's Travels
, about his RTW trip in 1973 on a Triumph motorcycle; Lois Pryce (Lois on the Loose
), and Austin Vince (Mondo Enduro
The venue is a lovely place with on-site camping and restaurants, with the nearby Santa Rita mountains for further exploration. There will also be an adventure film festival, and many other speakers, plus dozens of vendors of high-quality expedition equipment.
