Offroadi/camping suggestions - OK,TX,NM

My friends and I are planning to take my new Disco out to a park somewhere for an offroad-camping trip for spring break. We were planning on Colorado but now we think that might be too cold in March.
Do you guys now of places to offroad and camp in the Oklahoma-Texas-New Mexico area?

If there are just adults in your party you could go to Big Bend, Texas or any where on the North East or North West side of Texas.

The youngest is 19, I am 22, and the oldest is 23.

EDIT: We will look into that.

SCARR is about to do a rally in Gilmer TX, near DFW area March 27-30. My first, but I believe this one is set for LR's only. I believe they have similar events for Toyota, Jeeps, etc.

I will have a LR this weekend. And that is too late, our break is March 15-23.
Thank you though.

One option would be to pick out a portion of the Trans American Trail and do some overlanding. You can buy just portions of it here http://www.transamtrail.com/ It seems like a cool road trip.

Cool! I hope you do it it seems like an awsome trip as opposed to just going to an offroad park and wheeling till you break something. I would love (if I had more time/money) to come out and run it with you. Keep us updated.

Well for us it was either Panama City Beach with my fraternity or some offroading/camping trip.
When we finish planning it I will make a thread and maybe some people from hear will join us.

We've got the Superlift ORV park here in Arkansas which has camping. Not sure you would want to stay a whole week there but the trails are good. www.orvpark.com
