Oahu HH

So Josh (crash303) and I will be part of the island invasion known as RIMPAC this summer...

Any Oahu guys want to meet up for HH? Sometime late June or early July?

I'm here right now scouting locations. The Yard House in Waikiki appears to be a good CP location.

Works for me... been there before, will certainly go again. Doesn't Kona have a small place further east? We aren't sure if we are going to stay on board or try and get a room somewhere like the Hawaiian village or not. Maybe we will get a room within stumbling distance of the Happy Hour CP.

All the mil folks here like going to Dixie Grill near Pearl Harbor. I've never been though. Keep in mind that the action is in Waikiki, there isn't much worthwhile around the Navy base. Another option is Murphy's in downtown, but parking sucks.

Kona does has a brew pub east of Waikiki, and I am actually heading there tonight for dinner. That's another good option.

At Kona now. This is the best HH CP location, but it is pretty far out of the city if you are cabbing it.

that's south Waikiki near the Hale Koa, right? Good food in that area if you walk north in to Waikiki. Yard House, Il Lupino, and the usual chains.
