Honestly, that was the best meet up that I've ever attended. It felt like a family gathering with beautiful trucks.

Jason and I both walk to the bar, and Thomas takes the train on his way home to NJ. I suppose I could pull my truck out of the garage and park in front of my building...

I think the bartender is also horrible at math for some reason my bill is always about half of what I expect.

Plenty of parking at Felix it just needs to be timed right with commercial zoned parking. If we do Penrose I will buy the first round

That's right about TT. I always drive my truck and I'm always able to park in front of the place on 6th ave.

Parking in Williamsburg is super easy and practically on your way home ...

Jason, Daniel, new member Jimmy and I met at a secret location in the Bronx yesterday to discuss the following concerns pertaining to Josh.
1. French Fries
2. Athleticism.
3. Sweating.
4. Owning a Defender that hasn’t run in 410 days.
5. Rollerblading.
Our findings will remain confidential.
Comparison between the two meet up spots in NYC is the following: This comparison is simply based on the following 4 aspects.
Felix
X Parking, enough for 10 trucks at 6pm
X Drink prices ½ till 8pm
X Atmosphere much better
X Accessibility
X Seating
Tribeca Bar & Grill
College like atmosphere X
Noise level once inside (HIGH) X
If you want to wear a college sweatshirt X
Constant throw up smell permeating X

Will I ever see a clown running out the front door with blood dripping out of his hands, be asked if I'm with the poetry group, or see porn playing on the TV at Tribeca Tavern or Felix?

No you'll see over priced drinks and pseudo NJ euro trash in Felix and the TT a is just a busy version of a shit college bar. It just happened to be convenient to my old apartment! ;-)
It's also a long way from Lucian's day care.

I wasn't fond of either bars. I'm for the W'Burg spot. I'll give you an honest option about the event. Plus, who wants to deal with Manhattan traffic?

It's all perspective. Manhattan is a great meeting destination and Tribeca Tavern works well. The traffic getting to Brooklyn on weeknights and most weekends is no picnic.
We would all love a meeting spot next to our houses, wouldn't we?

Exactly. T Tav has always had the highest turnout. Perhaps that's because I've been the organizer of those ones though.

Yes, yes, yes and yes. All will involved Josh and Ronnie in some form or another.

T-Tavern is also easy for me. It is actually easier than Williamsburg. The Q train goes from my work to a stop about 2 blocks away. It doesn't bother me either way. I do like the idea of regular meet ups. The Thursday meet up in Williamsburg has been nice because it happens more than once a month.

this is hilarious ... everyone is bitching about the location but no-one is stepping up to actually arrange another event.
In the interim and until some leadership is established ... I'll be in Over the Eight on Thursdays with Lucian if anyone wants to join me for a beer!
;-)

I thought Couga had volunteered to put together the next meet-up.

I think we have had more meet ups in Williamsburg in the past two months than we had in Manhattan in the past year. I think that holds some merit.
