Gents:

Just in case you guys haven't seen this, but I'm sure most of you have, figured I'd pass it along. Also, if you can make a donation in his name PayPal can be sent to Barry (funeral services, where they will present a check to the family, are at 11am PST):

As a fellow motorcycle rider, this tragedy didn't sit too well with me - especially given the kids and pregnant wife he left behind. I think I may be parting with a few motorcycles in the near future...I'm thinking 4-wheels (even off pavement) may be more my speed going forward.

I hear that Lav...both of my bikes were sold within a year of having my first kid and recently my father in law laid his bike down. luckily he survived but did spend over 6 weeks in the hospital including 4 in ICU. makes you wonder if it's worth it!

I laid down my crotch rocket doing 30mph back in 94... sold it 6months later. at time of renewal of my dl the teller asked if I wanted to keep my endorsements by then I had obtained a cdl.... I told her no.. "I appreciate my life and if loose the endorsement I wont be tempted to get another bike."
every so often I get the itch but with out endorsement I wont even borrow a bike none the less go thru the motions of owning another.
I don't look back one bit, you never know who is behind the wheel of the other car when you are riding... the road is shared with too many idiots looking out for themselves only. On abike so are so vulnerable and you are on your own looking out for everyone else and you..

Germs... hmmm I mean gentleman... the end of year holidays are creeping up on us again (damm it I can believe I did not make the million dollar income mark again)....
shall we begin to decide on an early meeting time for the december gathering of NOVA HH? or are going to wing it as we did last year?
remember we had to hold two separate gatherings to accomodate some people who became inconvenienced?
just food for though, all insults and other wise mundane repplies will be taken with a grain of rice (possible salt as well.)
thank you... and happy Kwanza, mery christmas, pass over, and all that jazz etc. etc. etc.
truly yours.

A holiday thing sounds great but I am still out every Thursday until the end of the year. (Wife works)

I am heading to Maine for Turkey Day (about one hour from ECR) and I will be over the pond in the UK for Christmas in a town called Cockermouth (real town - I did not make that up). It is up on the west coast near the Scottish border.

The rest of my free time will be spend installing fuses and replacing wires.

I was just up there in early October. Drove up to ECR just to kind of check out their shop. They were exactly super nice, but I didn't really give anyone a heads up that I was coming up there either, so they were probably just busy.

When the GF did trauma surg calls, she and the other surg residents called Motorcycles "Donorcycles", meaning that anyone who came into ED off a bike and needed surgery didn't have a good survival rate.

Tough to hear the stories.

Sorry, brain Fart. I was thinking Kilroys. But wherever (although to be honest I am not sure I'm up for a long haul this week).

I'm down with Kilroys if that falls within your "haul" radius.

I may actually show up, because I owe Pedro some cash $$

But I'm lukewarm on Kilroys - many memories of weekend HS fistfights.
