yes I was, I was out side of the city doing 60 ish on a 55 on rt 17, then you pass thru a light (in this case it was green) inmmediately enter the city and it drops to 45.... state boy was there, he claims he chased me about a mile with his siren on, I claim to have pulled to the right as soon as I heard the siren, unknown how far I had traveled.
he cited me for misdemeanor wreckless, eluding and failure to yield. it went to trial because eluding althou not on the citation is a felony.
after calibration of my speedo, I was found guilty of simple speeding 15 over, 200.00 fine 250.00 for all that b/s of extra charges plus 1500.00 for the trial attorney and 3 points, all will clear in 5 yrs.
so I still mantain what I have said all along about city cops, nothing but overgrown teenagers with a badge on a power trip.
you want justice got the whorehouse, you want to get fucked go to the courthouse!!!.

carlos....please tell us he had a dash camera and you are going to be on cops or at least youtube? you should at least make your lawyer earn his bread and go subpoena that during discovery!

im going to try and make it to hh.

anyone local got a fan clutch for a 3.9 (1994)?

thought i would take off work and get some maintenance in (belts, fileters, fan clutch)....but no one has a fan clutch in stock.

im cheap and dont want to pay for overnighting, otherwise its going to take a few days. and, i dont think napa has a generic one that will fit.

I think the state boy was pissed at having to run city radar in stead of I 95 and miss all the action, thus he was making his own and throwing the book at the poor bastard who gets snared on his dragnet.
unfurtunately I was in that dragnet.

That's funny. It reminds me that when in Florida I saw a place with big signs saying "DUI mopeds". I can only assume they were mopeds restricted to under 35mph to make them legal to drive without a license or something. Thought it was pretty funny.

you do know that for the simple fact that they are a motorized vehicle, if your license is suspended or revoked you cannot operate one, but if you never had a licence you are legal to operate no matter your age.

I thought there was some rule defining what is considered a motorized vehicle and it had to do with speed limits. Like golf carts are allowed in certain communities as long as they can't go too fast. I dunno. I never plan to need to know either

could be, I had a neighbor whom evntually got deported to native dominican republic... he had a "large" number of dwi's so he was revoked.. he decided to get a moped...this is where it gets sketchy, if he got pulled over because the cops knew him as habitual offender, he was riding erratically or what.
long story short according to his family the charge was, operating a "motorized" vehicle while on a revoked or supended operator's licence.

on the other hand I must have taken my "f" carlos pills today, my assistant diagnoses a p38 as needing lower balljoints.. he is out and am doing them... holly hell they are a frigging nightmare.

Under 50 cc's and no license is required. Most mopeds are registered as 49 cc's
