Well, in classic Rover fashion, my Range Rover Sport blew the auxiliary pump to the supercharger about 40 miles from DC. It now sits at Land Rover of Alexandria and I am the proud driver of a Subaru Forrester loaner (WTF!!). Considering having a lift kit and OMES installed on it before tomorrow nights meetup. Does anyone know if SD makes a roll cage for the Forrester? See you tomorrow night....infidels.

Yikes. That's really all they had to give you? Like the gayest car ever. Maybe you'll get lucky and it'll get stolen.

wish you the best of luck with said dealership, they have a soddy reputation for bad labor and custumer service...
welcome to DC metro, sadly I will have to miss this one... too much on my plate and a big plus I HATE DC... Bobeck knows the story behind it...

Well it turned out to be a big fat nothing, but y'know when they call you gotta go. I was able to roll in a side trip to Mod Rod's for a beer run. I was done with Dad by 6, but then Sarah got home and I had to grill up some bison burgers. How'd it go?

Well, glad everything is ok. We had a swell time, they opened up the outdoor deck for us and we had pitchers of craft brewed beer all night. Stormer, Hillstrubl, and Nathanwind were all in attendance and I would say this was quite a success. It is a little more $ than Jays but I don't think by much.

OK will there be another meet up like that again? That's just too easy for me since it's right on the Red Line.

On topic of Land Rovers of Alexandria, I have to say they did a pretty good job. Had a guy stay late so I could drop off and get POS loaner and completed work before 11 am next day. Also fixed miswired tire pressure sensor that another LR dealership botched for no charge. Don't know whether service manager (Charlie) is new but he was great with me. My .02.

Darn I guess last year's service manager "Rusty" (Russel Brown) did not work out... oh well Im glad it worked for you, many board members avoid visiting dealers specially alexandria due to the over all experience.. a custumer of mine spent 10k to fix oil leaks on his o3 disco at alex and recived the vehicle in worse shap than it went in with coolant leaks and misfires, I have worked for two of the major four (rosenthal owns chantilly and tysons, manhattan is owned by someone else and Don Buyer owns "The Great Experiment dba. land rover of alexandria"... I have worked for alex and rosenthal "geneva enterprises"... by far rosenthal was my best experience over all.
but oh well it is water under the bridge.
