No drama. I told you a while back I couldn't do the 9th - just letting you know I won't be there.

The conversation about when has already been hashed, rehashed and then discussed, almost as much as where. It will be Thursday the 16th, in honor of the late Doug. This won't stop any of you going to Jay's any time you want, just that it won't be an "official" HH. Of course there will be times when people can't make it for one reason or another. I remember a few times when it was just me and Mr Bobeck, and more than a few when it was just three of us.
We can bring up the when issue again if everyone wants to go over it all once again.

Bill, I agree with picking dates in advance for consistency but at the same time I think that we have a good group of folks when all can make it and I personally enjoy the events more when there are more than 3 people there. When coupled with the upcoming holidays it seemed appropriate to poll the audience to try to pick a date that worked well for most rather than stick to a calendar that "we" came up with months ago. The other question that seems to come up at every happy hour is whether or not to stay with Thursdays as this was a concession made for Doug but (no offense to Doug) he doesn't come anyway...

If it's the 16th, I'll see you fellas next year.

x2, I am okay with the consistency, but with the holidays so close it is not something too far fetch to make a change.

At any rate, if the 16th it is I'll see you next year, if some of you, feel like gathering on the 9th, I am game.

OK, but it's only a few weeks away.

If the day is to change then let's open the subject for discussion. If we do change the day (again) let's keep that day. I feel strongly that the day of the month not be a moving target based on whether Joe Blow can't make it that week. It's sorta unfair to everyone else especially if someone wants to have the date change and everyone else says "up yours" when Joe was able to get his day last time.
There will be Holidays and summer vacations and wheeling events and illnesses and all kinds of other things that will thin the herd now and then. Those who can make it keep the fire burning till the next. Not like we don't keep in touch via the Forum or anything.

Looks like optional dates are (in order of most people available) 17th, 9th and 16th...we can either just pick one or take a vote

Jonathan, is your mall runner back on the road yet?

Front axle is back in, and 5" lift complete. Mall parking lots are killer on front diffs.

Let's go with the 9th? It seems like the 16th just doesn't work for most?
