Bump. Remember it's this Friday at Jay's.
I invited another LRO today. I was filling up the Commuter Brick when a 67 2A 88 wagon pulled in next to me (!). Limestone, VA plates with Camel Trophy stickers on the doors. Weird.

Suggest we discuss alternate ideas for a meeting place.

Hey All. I'm new to the site and NoVa. Planning to come by and looking forward to meeting some local Rover owners. Jays is on 10th in Clarendon, no? What time do you typically meet? Thanks, Jeff.

Yup, that's the place. People usually start showing up around 6:30 and continue rolling in through 7:30 or so. Look forward to meeting you.

I'll almost certainly be there and I heard a rumor that Gerber might grace us with his presence.

At this point, I have missed 15 NOVA happy hours. But I have to go to Richmond and then Farmville on Friday/Saturday. I suck. I would really like to meet you guys in person. One day.

Having spent too many years there, I can say that I"m very sorry that you have to go there rather than Jays.

I was there, too, for a few years. I actually like it, but still no 7-11 in town.

You don't need 7-11 when you have Throckmortons! (They can't still be in business, can they??)

Throckmortons? Do you mean Par-Bills?

No, Par-Bills was, I think, the one in town -- Throckmorton's was out by Worsham. A tiny country store that was the source of all beer brought into HSC. Had an old man in a rocking chair on the front porch with his hunting dog asleep next to him every time you went in.

Ah, ok. I rarely visited HSC. All I recall is that you guys came and thieved the valuable women.

We mostly imported from RMWC and Sweetbriar. I had a suitemate that swore by Longwood women though. His issue was that they were impossible to get rid of because they were so close. Interesting side note is that I understand he's now twice divorced. Go figure.

Oh dear, there is some game called Farmville on Facebook, eh? Now if only Longwood or HSC could get some exposure there.
