I'll be at home wishing I was there. I could use a night out but, tonight isn't going to be that night.

You don't own the mineral rights under your own home?

I'm working late.

Dave is on an archeological dig attempting to unearth George Washington's false teeth, which he supposedly lost during a ride one afternoon when he did a spit take over some joke about Martha's bustle.

The 100 year project from HELL. Fuck this, we are going to find the cleanout underneath the slab foundation addition out back and line the inside of the pipe from there. We only did twelve of 30 feet and that only gets us to the front wall, after that there is still the steel plate-and-concrete porch to remove and dig out underneath, plus 13 or so feet to the sidewalk. Not to mention 10 feet or so of cast iron that are still underneath the kitchen. This way is cheaper since we are redoing the floors and joists, but it is way overboard in terms of disruption of daily life. So it is getting closed up, and new joists can start to go in tomorrow. Also removing about a foot of dirt from the entire crawlspace so that there is enough room for someone to get down in there and spray some foam insulation. And then hopefully the wood burning insert will become something we use more out of enjoyment than desperation. Also we'll get all the cables off the ground, since the MC stuff doesn't seem to hold up very well laying on wet ground. One (thankfully not live) cable actually has lost all the metal shielding.

Bill, odd you should mention it about GW's teeth, I actually found one of em:

Do you need the backhoe? It would make demolition and all much easier.

Blake, I think you were doing too much talk to Jeff, remember the waiter has nothing but eyes for Jeff, although he probably poisoned your food as he was expecting to get Jeff's bent shaft and Jonathan's small shaft *LMAO*

I still standby the fact that you and Charles showed up almost a half hour after I ordered my food but yet you got your food before I did! It's pretty clear who he has eyes for!

What does everyone think of the Old Brogue Irish Pub in Great Falls? Do you think it is well suited for a gathering of Land Rover enthusiasts?

Old Brogue Irish Pub link (click here)

Any other suggestions in NoVA?

Have you been to the Cars & Coffee adjacent to there (Katie's Coffee House, same owner, connected properties) on Saturday mornings? I've generally been there every Saturday for that, sometimes I bring the Rover, will probably head up tomorrow morning with it.

I think you'll have trouble tearing people away from Jay's...it's nice and divey, and I like that about it too . Plus I'm at Katie's every Saturday morning for C&C so I like the change of scenery. Just my $0.02.

PS - is next Thurs 11/18 HH on?
