Non-HH related, but anyone know of a radiator shop in the area that can boil one out for me? There *used* to be some place down off of Terminal Rd in Newington/Lorton that did it in-house, but I can't seem to find it for the life of me.

Hey Lav,

I think you have the right place. I attended an open house there a couple of years ago. I am pretty sure they also specialized in fuel tank repair. I am looking through my references. Hope to have an answer for you

There is an in-house shop in Baltimore of North Point Blvd. Super reasonable.

Lav, let me know where you end up going. I want to get mine looked at - have a weep, and also have a series radiator I'd like to get re-cored.

Stacey, nice meeting you (and your friend, why the secrecy? lol). Bring Chris with you next time.

Ray you're right....totally a glitch in the matrix. It's like the "The Berenstein Bears" vs. "The Berenstain Bears", or "Looney Toons" vs. "Looney Tunes". Or "Pedro" vs. "Compulsive Rover Parts Hoarder". I can never remember which is the correct terminology in any of these scenarios.

Will keep you posted...did a drive by of the old place I used on Terminal Rd., looks like they may have moved or be out of business (it's a hipster brewery now). Carlos et al recommended Dolphin Radiator over by me for a boil-out. I'm going to ring them in the morning, *but* I've been forewarned that it may be ~$200ish...so I may be swishing out my intercooler with a little petrol as a clean out method instead .

Not me. I just got online. I can go to page 1 FWIW, but no idea what happened since it's working now.

Jason,

Finally found the place...Loopers Service Center, 324 N Stonestreet Ave, Rockville, MD 20850 (301) 762-9333

They used to do full on gas tank rebuilding as well in addition to radiators

My washers on the '84 don't work either. I haven't gone so far as to diagnose if it's the washer motor or the wiring yet but if anyone has tips/tricks re: washer gremlins I'm all ears. Happy New Year to all.

Holy hell I cannot believe you guys are still going strong on this thread after so many years gone by. I just got back into the 90 after many years of non-use and paging through this forum is like taking a walk back in time. Cheers!
