I left before this happened, but I think Patrick saw the aftermath. I still have no clue how that lady backed onto the 458, she had so much room...

Craigslist Trailer

This is probably the wrong place to post this - but I think the target audience is right.

I stumbled onto this on Craigslist today and it is in Alexandria - local to most of us. It is a motorcycle camper trailer very similar to the one that Ron had who sold it to Philly Ron (EvilFJ) who sold it to me who sold it to Bob Steele.

While my old trailer was on a slightly larger frame and wheel / axle combo - this is effectively the same thing. If you are not planning to tow on "expeditions" and are just looking for a seriously lightweight, dry and comfortable place to sleep at night (think MAR mud and rain camping) - this thing would tow easily behind even the most anemic of NA 2.5 diesels.

Photos from internet of a similar model opened up.....

Think you could swap a Rover axle under it?

Also, tomorrow looks good weather-wise. See you all at HH.

Monthly

Sorry guys and gals. Looks like I will miss this month's gathering again. Heading to WA in a few hours. At least have an update on the project. The truck is moving along and hopefully I will be driving it to the next one. With a bit of luck and if few things (like getting the windshield in) don't kick my ass. Few status pics ...

Gentlemen, this month's excuse to drink beer and eat cheap bar food is still on schedule or what?

If so, what time is the crowd supposed to begin gathering?...

Parts giveaway and saleaway.

Let me know if this isn't appropriate, but I have some parts I am trying to get rid of. Some for free and some I would like to get some cash for but don't feel like shipping.

Free:
-bumperettes that I bought from Wolf like 5 years ago and decided not to use
-subwoofer, amp and some kind of wiring splitter thing that was part of the stereo system
-hood release cable (still in packaging)
-pads for the B pillar and diagonal post after the B pillar
-rear speaker boxes - bought them on the forum but didn't like them

Cash (make an offer):
-rear crossmember - no extensions and has slight surface rust. I decided to go galvy and need extensions, so this thing is just sitting in my folks garage.
-best top extended bikini. Basically it runs from the windshield to the C-Pillar, but has no sides.

Pick up in Fairfax or Arlington. PM me if you are interested in anything.

I'll take the pads!

------ Follow up post added September 12th, 2016 11:59 AM ------

You might want to add details (pictures) on some of the items. For example, will he bumperette fit with the NAS rear step bumper?

FYI they are just some (nicely) homemade pads with velcro that the PO put on there. But still nice. PM me and we can figure out when/where to meet up.
