Good HH last night. Thanks to everyone for taking a look at my truck. Driving home last night, I took Braddock and Backlick in order to avoid 495. I didn't experience the same bogging down when getting into the throttle that had me limping into Kilroys earlier in the evening. It's still running rough, and I'm sure I'm plenty down on power still, but I don't have any experience with a properly running 3.9 to compare it against. I was able to get up to the speed of traffic on Braddock, which was probably about 45 (no speedometer yet), but still not enough power to get past 4th gear. So I'm not sure what about the drive TO Kilroys on 495 made the engine completely give up, but I don't feel comfortable driving the truck anywhere until it's sorted out.

I think a compression test, and verifying spark plug and wire function, will be the first tasks. Any other ideas? There were a lot of suggestions last night, which I probably should have written down....

Wish I had some insight or could be of some help. You might try talking to Wally at Loudoun Rover. He's done a ton of conversions in his day and may have some tricks.

Take out each plug to check the appearance. Even tho you have very few miles on them you should be able to tell if one looks different. That will be your suspect cylinder. Could be your injector or the wire for the plug or even the plug itself.
If that doesn't reveal anything then the next step is to put the Rovergauge on it.

^^x2 what Bill said. Could be any of a dozen different issues. Rovergauge will show you right away if your TPS is bad.

It's pretty easy to test the TPS, you just need to follow the procedures in the Range Rover manual.

Do you have the port for the Rovergauge?
