Guys... I need help.

I was checking the truck tonight and noticed that the Water Pump has a wobble.

Does anyone has a WP I could borrow until I order the new one?

The Part Number is STC4378G

PM... or text me.

Thanks!!!

Just overnight one from RovahFarm. Probably $120~130 all said and done??

"Borrowing" a water pump sounds permanent to me!

Is it leaking or self-destructing at the moment? No? Then stop being the "Nervous Nelly"...it'll be fine until you can get a new one shipped .

Smart ass... it is.

I thought the noise I was hearing was from the PS pump... turns out the WP was wobbling and making the grinding noise and leaking coolant.

Ohh. And thanks for your help.

The LR3 water pump was leaking for who-knows-how-long until I noticed it. Drove just fine...a couple of days will not be the end of the world. Order parts, and stop overthinking it .

And yeah....what Mike said!

Planning on being there . . . will be showing off my new fully operational Madman EMS2 engine monitor.
Provided I stick around long enough to actually make it out to the trucks, which I have never actually done yet. In which case I can regale you with tales of driving 80 mph looking at my EGT readout instead of the road. . . .

Hey Pedro, several weeks back I had the same problem on my 90. There are two bearings in the front of the pump. The wobble and leakage from the weep hole indicate failure of one of the two bearings. It's your warning to get a pump. It may be okay until you can get a pump shipped or it may not, depending on how bad it is now and how much you drive it. Put a drip pan under the truck to see how much it's leaking after each time you drive it. It was a PITA to carefully remove all the old gasket material! Bring your patience. BTW, although I hadn't noticed a huge amount of accessory drive noise under hood, it sure is silent now! BTW, bought the one RN recommends as "OEM quality" and it took over three weeks to receive it!

Hey Ron,

I only noticed the wobble because I was installing the new power steering pump.

I ordered an Aitex pump yesterday. I hope it's better than the one got last year.

How much are you dropping on these crappy aftermarket pumps?

I think it's funny that Pedro is worried about the water pump in his truck when his drive isn't long enough to actually open the tstat so who cares if the pump works!
