Damn, no-one have a sense of humor anymore? Was sure I'd get a comeback on that one.

I think it translates to the 3rd Thursday of each month if you use a none standard page size and don't feel like searching for it next month.

Totally off-topic, but looking for someone in the area here that is a member - figured best place to start would be with guys that like big trucks also like to shoot things.

Anyone here a member of the Quantico Shooting Club (http://www.quanticoshootingclub.com/) by any chance? I want to do some long range distance target, and they've got a sweet outdoor 300yd & 1000yd range. BUT...I need to be "sponsored" by a member before I can submit my application (i.e. just need to write their name on my app).

Jason what are you getting?

You are welcome to come to my area anytime and I take you to Hap Baker if you can live with 200 yards, and if no gun by then , you are welcome to shoot my toys ( of course you are not prohibited from owning a forearm right ? don't want to spend a long vacation at Club Fed *LMAO* )

Right now the *plan* is to pick up a nice SIG556, most likely the DMR (mainly because it's also NY compliant...so I can have it here in VA or up in NY when I'm there too). I've got a nice side-by-side shotgun on order as well (20" double-barrel), and was thinking of also picking up a Remington 870 Tactical. No, no stocking up for Armageddon...just figured I should stop spending money on Rovers for a bit and "reduce" my expenditures to smaller toys for a while .

Haha...no prohibitions on this end, I'm squeaky clean and own several handguns...just been wanting to get into the long gun stuff so figured I'd finally pull the trigger (no pun intended). I can definitely live with 200 yards! Really, that's plenty - just figured I'd get myself a membership to a local club, and the QSC seemed like a good (and relatively) close option. Keep me posted when you're going to hit Hap Baker...would definitely like to tag along.

Jason,
You re welcome to come down to my place in Va and see if you can break clays with your new toys. Also have big open spaces where even a Barrett could be fired. I can even loan you Trey as a puller so you can warm up in private. No guarantee he wont laugh though-he's pretty good for a teen ager.

Wow, maybe we need a NOVA shooting HH at Dougs place!

Reminds me of this great place up in the CO mountains where you could bring ANYTHING and shoot it. Lots of cars, tv's, and propane tanks met their fate there!

Jason,

I have several AR style rifles, Colt 6721, Bushmaster M4, Armalite 30 in different configuration ( some with ACOg, some with CQB, some with IS ).

Hap is 20 mins from my house and I hit it as often as I can ( also has a Pistol Range up to 25yds , plenty for me with a pistol LOL ).

Weekends is kind of crowded but the open from 10:00 to sundown

We make plans next HH.

Doug,

I can't believe I was never offered to hit the Farm ( no pun intended )

Jonathan,

X2, awesome idea

Goose-if you can't drive that cushy Beluga Tdi 110 how the hell are you going to walk out into one of my fields
and set up targets etc ? You and Jonathan bring anything you like as long as you pick up the brass and whatever you destroy. No noise or nearest neighbor worries @ my place.

Hmm... I have a few hundred .223 and 5.7mm rounds rounds to expend.

So no noise? Should I bring my silencer too?
