That's Pretty Sexy!

I can see now the shock on the faces of my wife and kids when I say "Hey, I'm gonna head over to help Mike swap in this 200 he picked up the other day".

Congrats on the progress Mike.

Good grief, that is gorgeous--looks like an art installation. I'm 92% sure I'll be there, barring early arrival of the new baby--will pm you shortly. Congrats and Merry Christmas!!

Thanks guys, appreciate the support, will post up some rover porn soon, had it completely rebuilt by Arkonik, Andy and his team hit a home run I feel. If Jonesy hadn't talked me into waiting I'd be doing the swap over X-mas . . . with the In-Laws arriving today it's probably best to wait.

here's the test run, doesn't sound bad . . .

I was planning on helping, Mike, but was just reminded I'll be out of town then. Be sure and bring to next HH for all to see first hand. The guys in the motherland went the extra mile to install in another Defender to video and show you before purchase. How cool is that?

Merry Christmas everyone.

The next steps are to bolt up the turbo and manifolds, run a thorough check on the plumbing and electrics, give it some fluids and start crank'n.

There's some trickery around the turbo manifold that I'm not real warm and fuzzy about yet because we need to smear sealing paste around the turbo flange fittings. I'm a little worried about it sealing up cleanly without sucking excess debris into the turbo.

Once she's running she'll need some exhaust work and then she'll be ready to break in.

So you should be able to knock that out over the Christmas break right?

My next wrenching secession will be after the holidays. The lead mechanic is out of town this weekend.

Completely unrelated: anyone here in NOVA need a Disco 1 CD changer? If not, it's going in the trash--I needed the space under my seat more than I needed this. . .

If there are no other takers there's a guy at work that would love to save it. He has a RRC in Africa that he saves misc parts for. He was saying the other day he would like to find a CD player.

Should be there.

I think we need to pencil in a wrenching session to get Kent's rig sorted out as well.

Patrick and Jacqui came over Saturday. Between them, myself, and my brother, we were able to sort it out to where the truck is about 95% dialed in. If I'm free on the 9th, I'll be driving it to Mikes.

Kent, was it timing advance like I suggested? Sure sounded like it to me. Anyway, glad it's getting dialed in.
