I'm possibly in, but only if someone else will be there. Anyone?

Edit--drrr, hadn't read far enough up the page to see that some folks will be there. I'm in, barring natural disaster, illness, or family emergency.

Steering drop-arm?

Anyone here locally (even if you're not coming to HH) have an old pitman/steering drop-arm they aren't using (ideally an old one where they replaced it with a new unit instead of rebuilding it)?

Was rebuilding mine with a new ball joint, and *somehow* I managed to friggin' bash the "retaining ring" that holds the rubber boot down in place (pretty sure I did it when I was tapping into place the new race for the ball joint).

Anyhow, I know most folks just remove & replace with a new one...so I'm *hoping* that someone that has done so may have kept their old one instead of tossing it out. Shown in the attached pics with a red arrow is the "ring" that I broke, the thought is I can probably gently tap the ring off an old unit and move it over to mine to be back in business.

PS - I'm willing to travel to pick one up, so even if it's not someone going to HH feel free to chime in to help a brother out .

I *thought* the RHD drop-arms are different than the LHD? (I should have clarified, this is for the NAS90). If they aren't different....yep, I'll take you up on that offer!

If a Disco arm would work you might try the local shops to see if they have any in their scrap heaps. They all have scrap heaps taller than we are.

Just saw Jeff's post after finishing up a 17 mile ride on our mountain bikes. We probably aren't doing anything as challenging as Jeff though! Get recovered quickly guy!

Still plan on attending tomorrow. Hope we have a good turnout.

For those not coming, wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Healthy, Happy, and Prosperous New Year.

ETA is unknown on my end. My eldest has yet to pack for Abu Dhabi so it may be a long night. Will ping as I depart Hoodbridge/Montclair to see if folks are still there.
