He charges 1.2 Hrs to hook up a vehicle. $120

I should have taken an offer from another place... the guy told me several months ago: "it cannot be done... I'll do it for free, if I can change that."

Edit. None of the places I've called or been, even know about this stuff. PT and CarlosZ helped me a lot with this, they know their Rovers :-)

Still seems a little stiff for that change. I could see a half hour no problem. But hey, you have a solution

Oh, try Loudoun Rover in case he'll do better. Pretty sure he has all the software - when I went there he has at least 2 kinds.

I thought the same thing... I was going to ask for a freebie since I told him what to do... hehe... that's the cheap @$$ in me.

So what is the benefit of doing this, anyway? Is it a different fuel mapping?

I'm guessing it's primarily fuel mapping though right Pedro?

Yes. I cannot find the document that show the fuel delivery and ignition timing etc.

I guess I forgot to mention that my '96 Disco has a '97 P38 GEMS 4.6L motor.

I had a 1997 D1 with a 2003 DII 4.6L. I put a P38 4.6 ECU in it after about 6-months. I could not tell a difference at all.

Nice.

My main concern is running rich/lean, this will shorten the life of the engine.

Tony, are you going to HH tomorrow? Can I drop off some springs and you take them to HH and give to Gustavo?

You can give them to me. I'll be in the Springfield area tomorrow. I need to give Goose some other stuff as well.

Edit: PM me your number to meet tomorrow. I will in that area around 5 ish at the Metro Station.

Thanks for the offer. I usually hit Tonys house at 6am on my way to work. I'll be rolling through Springfield about noon tomorrow though.

Let me know. I can even pick the stuff from Tony's if he's not going.

I was going to offer to leave them at my place, but I'm already at work at 6.

well, I'm sure I'll end up as first one there seeing as I leave work around 3pm and I'm not hiking back up to frederick just to turn around to come back. So is there a certain area inside or outside we all end up at? how about parking?

Park in any the spots beside Jay's except those adjacent to the tanning salon (there are signs)...we usually sit outside on the "patio" area but last time we retreated inside because it was too hot. Today is probably 50/50 but there is definitely a possibility of rain while we are there which also makes the patio suck! (ie 3 or so months back!) I'll play it by ear but may be able to get out a little early to hang out with you...earliest I would probably get there is 4:30-5 though

You'll see people starting to roll in around 6, sometimes as early as 5:30
