No idea when the dinner thing I have gets done, will check in as it wraps up since I'll be in Crystal City and could always head over. You guys may well intersect with the ExpO crew:

It's gonna be like the jets and the sharks in the back lot of Kilroys! I may have to try and disengage from my other plans for this one.

I was thinking more along the lines of the Anchorman fight scene, but whatever high-brow comparison flies with Brooks is fine with me.

IFF may be difficult if a melee breaks out; think of all the North Face and Marmot intermingling....

Maybe closer to the gas station fight from zoolander. Tell Dro to wear his jump suit.

At least we're predictable...and somehow everytime I see this photo it still brings an audible laugh out of me.

I've only met one of the expo overland folks, named Ben (4funr.com) since he was a neighbor of mine. Very nice guy and enjoys driving his truck. Apparently members of the group went to Moab and Vermont Overland events for the last few years.

Probably a different kind of crowd from the rover guys. From what I have seen on the Facebook group, they seem more geared towards Toyotas and newer vehicles. I'm sure it would be great to have some of them as companions on longer road trips (since there are few folks at HH who have expressed interest in going to Moab and other venues.)

The image of a bearded Taliban-esque Pedro stumbling out of the GTT every morning, and staring confusedly at your Abba-blaring phone perched on top of his tent is likewise another picture that is seared into my memory.

I plan on bringing my 90 this time.

Damn Jeff, sucks you're in Philly. Was hoping to catch up and give you my cubby for the spacer and talk about specs. Maybe next HH or I can run it out your way soon.
