by the way...prob the best vid of the weekend was when I gave Jonesy the Go Pro cam to record me. no monitor on that camera so you just kind of have to point it at the subject and know its getting the footage. Brother Jonesy had the cam backwards and recorded himself for the first 2 runs I had. This was that water alley not too far off the beginning of the trails. First thing I did (or ever had done as far as wheeling). Doug and Jonesy said I rolled thru that thing at about 30 mph. great reacts! going to put together a bigger vid and definitely incorporate this in there.

I can do D90, D1 or LR3.... Need advance notice so I can steer the kids toward the right choice tomorrow morning.... They've asked for the D90 for the past 2(3?) weeks, so chances are high, but I like to take calculated chances!

Once you do, please tell me what wrench/socket/whatever worked to not have to mess with the heat shields. Still have to tighten the two bolts properly on mine. I used Charles socket setup last time but the socket was a bit too bit and could not get enough leverage on the bottom bolt. Did not look at the top bolt but I can't think it is tight since the starter was making a lot of noise.

Clay - I can help with logistics....my RRC is in need of a new fuel pump - it won't get here in time - so I was going to be in something else. I could come over to your place and drive one in.

That's not Billy. But maybe soft or loose bushings on that one? Boosts might help too

It's just a 5/16" hex/allen socket (not hex head). I've done this a couple times recently, including removal last night. Takes about 30mins of dicking around, mainly because the top bolt is a b*tch to get to. I usually loosen the top bolt from the engine compartment and then once it's loosened get the hex socket on it. I never remove the heat shields.

This. Remove #8 or #6 spark plugs (or both) on the passenger side, to get to the top bolt from the engine.
