Ditto with the rest...I am 20mins from Dulles, and can supply a bed if needed as well

Thanks!

You got plenty of offers already but I'm still going to add one more option: I think from the crew that answered so far I live the closest from Dulles (cab is $12-15 + tip; 5 to 10 min drive depending on the lights). You can leave your truck in front of my house (very safe neighborhood; trucks often is unlocked for days in a row). I am planning on making it to Conclave and MAR (at least, I got days off to make it! Just need to get my truck running ). Depending on when you leave/come back I could pick/drop you off. If you plan to leave your truck someplace, I'd recommend you leave a key hidden somewhere so it could be moved if needed.
Anyway, I have friends parking in front all the time and this would not be a bother! Also have a guest bedroom that should be avail too if that's needed.
Let us know.

... and just so none of my NOVA brothers think less of me, I too, live very near Dulles and offer my hospitality. In fact - given the tendancy for these fancy D-110's to burn - you can even park it safely at the Fire House parking lot (46700 Middle Field Drive, Sterling, VA 20165) - only a few miles from Dulles and a few feet from a fire hose.

... but on to another topic and a thread hi-jack.... has anyone planned ahead for the Fall GWNF run? How about November 9th? (Is it too early to start putting tumbtacks on the calendar?)

Someone wanted to borrow it that's all and I'm all out. If you have it and don't need it, perhaps I could get you to ship it to him?

Alright alright... here's the plan

Drive down to Conclave Wed/thursday. Sunday night I have a flight from Dulles to BTV at 8pm.

I will have a flight back to Dulles and arrive at 7pm on Wednesday, October 2nd. Now that the tickets are purchased and everything is set, who is still there to help me out?

Offer still stands includes a place to sleep. Not really sure what would help you narrow down your options.

Least inconvenience really, whoever has to do the absolute least to help me out. IE, has the room for my Rover, has an extra place to sleep on the night of Oct.2nd without setting anything special up. Ideally someone with a ping pong/pool table, if we're getting specific

I guess that counts me out...no ping pong or pool table. Got a dart board, and foosball though...Charles & I will probably roll together to MAR so either way we can work it for you is fine.

Foosball is totally acceptable! Ideally I'm really looking for the closest safe place near Dulles, cheaper taxi ride ideally.

I think in terms of distance.... Monland / Loic is your closest parking spot. Then comes Charles and I - both equidistant (he is south of the airport and I am north). Then comes the Leesburg crowd - still close but not as close as Loic.

I am heading down to MAR on WED or THU as I have to set up a bunch of stuff. I will not be Conclaving but will be around the house that weekend (fire duty conflicts).

Original offer still stand (parking + bed). I think I'm the closest from the airport, BUT I have no ping-pong table, football table, pool table... We only use eating tables. Though, I might be able share some barbie dolls (if my daughter will let me) or some toy cars (if my son allows it).
In term of safeness, I don't think I've seen anyone that made an offer so far that leaves in a "risky" area. Your truck will be safe.
At this point, my plan is to:
- go to Conclave with the kids Fri afternoon/early evening (after I pick them up from school)
- go to MAR (alone it looks like) on Thursday sometimes (depends on the level of preparation I can achieve prior to that Thursday! )

Loic has things like young kids and a job - way too many constraints.

Unless Donna has some objection (which I doubt), I'll hook him up. I have a rather flexible schedule right now and can pick him up and can leave for the conclave whenever (current plan is early Thursday though).

Thank you Charles- and thank you Loic, but Charles is right and I wouldn't want to impose on your family. Charles, when are you planning to get back from Conclave?

"Depends on how much shit I break" would have also been an acceptable (or honest) answer .
