Foosball is totally acceptable! Ideally I'm really looking for the closest safe place near Dulles, cheaper taxi ride ideally.

I think in terms of distance.... Monland / Loic is your closest parking spot. Then comes Charles and I - both equidistant (he is south of the airport and I am north). Then comes the Leesburg crowd - still close but not as close as Loic.

I am heading down to MAR on WED or THU as I have to set up a bunch of stuff. I will not be Conclaving but will be around the house that weekend (fire duty conflicts).

Original offer still stand (parking + bed). I think I'm the closest from the airport, BUT I have no ping-pong table, football table, pool table... We only use eating tables. Though, I might be able share some barbie dolls (if my daughter will let me) or some toy cars (if my son allows it).
In term of safeness, I don't think I've seen anyone that made an offer so far that leaves in a "risky" area. Your truck will be safe.
At this point, my plan is to:
- go to Conclave with the kids Fri afternoon/early evening (after I pick them up from school)
- go to MAR (alone it looks like) on Thursday sometimes (depends on the level of preparation I can achieve prior to that Thursday! )

Loic has things like young kids and a job - way too many constraints.

Unless Donna has some objection (which I doubt), I'll hook him up. I have a rather flexible schedule right now and can pick him up and can leave for the conclave whenever (current plan is early Thursday though).

Thank you Charles- and thank you Loic, but Charles is right and I wouldn't want to impose on your family. Charles, when are you planning to get back from Conclave?

"Depends on how much shit I break" would have also been an acceptable (or honest) answer .

We should caravan down...I think Galpin is in, Jonesy, and I'm probably a go too.

I believe it's formally known as "keg escort", also known as "how long can we possibly make the short ride to gore". But yeah we'll probably convoy. I assume Huff too.

Zack,

You can still park in my office lot in Silver Spring. ( can even take a shower if you do not want to stink up the rest of the plane *LOL* )

But you will need to catch a shuttle to Dulles

Let me know

Gustavo

Thank you for the offer Gustavo-- I will know more when I'm down there. By the way, I left you a voicemail on RN's behalf.

Also, I am in for the convoy to MAR depending on time.

I am in for the run to the Cove depending on time you leave. I may have to run to Manassas to pick up some parts from powder the morning of but will know more on that soon...otherwise I will have my shop helper (C$) go for me on Wednesday!

Plan to roll from Gilbert's Corner like last year (50/15)? We'll make better time given Mr. "Driving Ms. Daisy" sold his RRC this spring.
