Need a series pinion gear

In a bit of a pickle, and am in need of a Series pinion gear and/or Series diff.

Long story short, the 90 is running a Series ring & pinion set (in a Defender housing with ARB carrier). As many of you know busted a diff at Rausch recently. Bill was kind enough to give me a diff with the ring & pinion I needed...but apparently (according to my driveline guy) the threads on the pinion got toasted when removing the nut. To further complicate, I was supposed to leave town with the truck this week (but driveline guys dragged their feet and just got to this now, so doesn't give me much breathing room).

Anyone local have what I'm looking for, or know where to get one?

Yes it was them actually...used them before with good luck, but if you had issues too...

I know that was an absolutely perfect diff. How did they bung up the threads? No way was that nut on too tight. They musta put the big air impact wrench on it and spun it the wrong way when they were taking it apart.

I am no help with your parts Lav but if someone is looking to refill CO2 I'd suggest shying away from Scotty's Fire Extinguisher in Alexandria. I'm all about supporting small business but I dropped my functioning tank off last week and picking it up today it had a lens busted off one of the gauges and now the valve leaks because the shaft is cracked.

Of course when we 'discussed' this there was no agreement as to the delta between its condition upon drop off and condition now.

Never f'ing again.

No idea how they f'd it up....they just said it was really on there and couldn't get off due to age. But I agree I've taken my pinion nut off the Defender before (rear and front) with no issue so doesn't make sense to me.

Come to think of it, I wouldn't let them pull that diff apart outside of your presence. As long as the pinion nut is secure the backlash will still measure up. Sounds like a bunch of knuckleheads to me.

Does anyone in the area have a SD rack with original SD ladder on a 90, preferably a ST? If so, please PM me or email at jeff@lelofab.com
