Uh, he's got a Kodiak in there. I think my RRC has the crappiest heater.

It was only 40 degrees. Surprised Charles didn't have the top off.
The DC area is a total joke when it comes to forecasted snow. Like previously mentioned, the beltway was empty and the roads were bone dry. The only traffic was dodging all of the fricken salt trucks (the very reason my D was left in the garage). It was like leap frog out there.

Yes my heater works fine, and yes I braved a salt/sand/stone storm by pulling onto 495 behind a friggin salt truck laying salt on a bone dry road with no precipitation in sight! Man the salt just bounces up and goes everywhere - will have to wash the truck this weekend.

The silver lining was traffic was really light

Meow! Did Loic hurt your soccer-mom rig feeling?

My stock truck looked so punny next to yours. Russell thought my air bags were bad. haha

Dan P-R suggested I check in with you guys here and mentioned the meet up at Kilroy's in February. I'm looking forward to it. Lot's of wrenching to do on the Disco.

I love the snow jokes here - I taught in NY and lived in the Berkshires where the Rover was a necessity - today, leaving Georgetown U today at 24 degrees with tiny snow flakes, a battalion of snow plows, and a salt glaze on all the cars made for a good laugh!

Welcome to the forums! You found the right thread. About a week before the recurring discussion about where we will meet will start, and eventually after some smack talk we'll either go to Kilroys or somewhere in fall church

See you then.

We should have a rather large HH this February with a few special guests from the forum.

Land Rovers.

And at a minimum we'll have "Bill Larson" and his brother from the forum here in attendance. They are driving his new RRC back to TX.

Well if you guys want to really say you need a LR you need to live next door to Huff!!! I went over to his place yesterday...holy crap!...there were cars all over the road, I gave a lift to a mum and three kids walking the 2mi up the mountain - she couldn't understand why her 4 wheel drive (Honda Pilot) couldn't make it up the road. Scary stuff coming down with ice on the rd and those steep hills!

took me 2.5 hours to make it from DC, ( nothing was plowed 29,32, ) lost control 1.5 mile from the house, left the Car on the side of the road ( TJ picked me on the D3 ), went this morning to get it and the MoFo gave me a ticket

I would like to give them a ticket for not plowing a$$holes

I was out in the beast...with the weight of that thing and low gearing I was puttering along nicely. A few 7-8 scale pucker factors - but not too bad otherwise.

On the off chance that you either need parts off a '93 RRC LWB, or are bored out of your skull this Saturday and are looking for something to do, you are welcome to swing by my place this Saturday.

If you didn't know Bill was kind enough to donate his crispy RRC as a replacement frame/suspension for my 109 project. We will be stripping it down on Saturday. Various parts have already been picked, and others spoken for, but more available (major stuff being most body parts and a ZF HP22 and borg warner tcase). And its a chance to see how a RRC is deconstructed if you are curious!

Email or PM me if you are interested in coming by.
