I wonder why...rather breathe diesel fumes than the cloud of fag smoke hanging in the air on the deck. I moved twice to get away from it, finally decided to move in front of the big fan and right as I got up, one of the fucking reject 90's throwback redneck obesity families (happy with their health plan as they gradually kill themselves, I'm sure) decided to relocate also and sat down right in front of the fan and proceeded to smoke in front of it, blowing their carcinogen breath all over the restaurant. I like the parking situation sure and I can get there pretty quickly too, but the food sucks (including the overcooked seafood buffet), the service sucks, the beer selection sucks, and the atmosphere is all Jimmy Buffet and cancer smoke. I am willing to at least TRY another place.

Wow Dave, tell us how you really feel!

I agree on the smoke aspect. My family won't even come because of how bad it was.

Think the clearance is 7 feet. I spend way too much time at Mad Fox. Doesn't hurt knowing the owner, brewmaster, and the assistant brewmaster and most of the bar staff. Theres parking on the side streets if you don't fit in the garage.

I'll give anything a try but am skeptical of a garage vs. open parking lot. for me, one of the best parts of HH is being able to have all the trucks next (or close to each other) and the talks it spurs

There is always Jays (please note my sarcasm...and the sad reality that I think that place may actually close, for real, soon).

street parking involves walking around in the street to look at trucks...seems like a bad idea after a few pitchers!

Yeah we might have to start sharing pitchers instead of all getting our own.

You forget it's Virginia, where public drunkenness is a way of life. Been that way since the 1640's.

Ok I'm losing track. It's not clear if there is sufficient interest to give this a try. I like the Kilroys parking myself, but am willing to try new places. Is a Bobeck recon considered impartial? If not, I say lets give it a try.
