or October HH Moab ! Long way to go since there are no floors, no transmission, and no transfer case in my truck. And then there's the part where I need to use it this afternoon.
I'm only six month behind you on building my camping trailer out of the rusty Sankey as well. Where does the time go ?

Fair warning to you VA guys:

Ken's way to cool not to have here in CO...

...next time he shows up for a happy hour we're going to kidnap him and keep him.

Nice! The Thursday gig is much better for me anyhow...plus, since Fri/Sat is tough for Doug that way we can include him too. Sweet!

May 20th?

If it is May 20th - I am out - work travel (again).

I will be parading around in Moscow, at least, so that's cool.

Before we get all excited about this date, I'd like Doug to confirm he can make it. Doug?

Figured I'd plant the seed before Thursday, but lest I get ridiculed (since it's not running over squirrels in the woods with my 110) my Saturday mornings lately have been consisting of hitting the "Cars & Coffee" in Great Falls VA from 7am-9am. Yes, it's early...but then I'm free to run over unsuspecting wildlife for the remainder of my Saturday.

Anyhow, this "gathering" while quite unofficial has gained momentum as of late and typically there are anywhere from 50-75+ rides there. Some pretty cool old rare stuff, everything from 50's Ferraris to a 30's Franklin to Alpha's, Jags, American Muscle, etc all from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and through to the modern exotic supercars....and even my 110 from time-to-time when I bring it instead of my other toy . Here's a local article on it: http://www.examiner.com/x-31734-Fair...s-Cars--Coffee

Anyhow, I've actually bumped into a few D90 guys over the past few weeks (Richard, John, and Steve...though I think they keep a pretty low profile around here). Steve had his Arles blue 90 there this past Saturday - nice lift & setup. Richard had the idea of having a "Defender Day" where we get a bunch of dudes to bring their Defenders, and he was talking about this coming Saturday 5/22. So we're at around 5-6 attendees now, and figured I'd plant the seed with you guys ahead of time and we can rehash at HH this week.

Could be cool to see all the Big Rigs in one place, especially at this C&C where it's more of the "classics" per se. Of course, beating up the old, rich, white guys while at this event is purely optional.

They should rename it "dunlops and doughnuts", and I'm not referring to the brand of tires.

Down with this. I'm probably going to go a few times over the next few weeks.

P.S. - I think I pissed off some rich fat white guy for questioning why he had an antique plates on a repro classic car..

I think last month was around 6pm, but earlier is better to get a spot in the parking lot (it's small and fills up quick). Currently I've got nothing going on for work Thurs so I'd be game for earlier since I can't stay super late. The only thing I've got on the radar is getting up early on Fri to drive to the Carlisle Import show going on 5/21 - made the trip up there and back last year too.
