No and no. We didn't want to eat, that would just kill the buzz.

Pintle hitch receiver

Off topic obviously but needed to reach the NOVA guys. Anyone have a Pintle hitch receiver that I can borrow for 24hours? Got a Sankey coming in tmrw that I need to pick up and obviously that has the Pintle loop, so I need the Pintle hook/receiver that hooks up to the truck (via 2" receiver). Catch is I need to pick up the hitch at some point today.

I have one - but Gustavo has it up at his place in MD. You are welcome to it if you can make the connection with him.

That may work...heading that way tmrw. Is it just the bolt on hook or the full 2" receiver?

It slides into a 2" receiver. And you would help me out by picking up my pintle and trailer license plate from Goose.

if you plan on keeping the whole pintle set up, i may be able to hook you up with a permanent hook, turns out my brother works in the construction field, he had a company truck with pintle set up, he moved to another company and upon return of the co. truck he kept the pintle hook, he then gave it to me. I in turn took it to the farm but no one I know has use for it, so las time I checked it was a door stopper.
right know it is 80% I will be at the farm on the weekend so il' pick it up.
let me know before then if your future plan is otherwise.

Carlos...definitely planning to keep the pintle setup long-term, as that's what is on the Sankey and I'm too lazy to change it to anything else . Keep me posted once you're at the farm this weekend, and thanks in advance.

Jason I have one...but outta town and will be home tonight. Could arrange for the wife to leave it out for you today? Let me know.

Btw it is called a Lunette ring on the trailer, if like the M416 you can slide it out and replace it with the better max coupler or a standard hitch. Just a thought for later on.

Craig, all the time I spend driving trucks and using those thngs, I knew them as pintle hook and pintle tow.. I never ralized they had a name similar to their design "lunete", learn something new every day. I'll be darn.

I just don't know about the Sankey though...I have an M416 that I restored and know every bolt on it. I have thought about the replacements...the Lunette has to be free enough to swivel to allow for articulation, that is why they have grease nipples. Dunno if the Sankey is the same.
