I wish it were a dent! It leaked out all the fuel in the tank while it was sitting over the course of a few days so I had to clean up the parking garage

I think it could be fixed with some quick migging. But I definitely need a real skid...preferably one that doesn't cost $500 like the ones at Atlantic British. My red skid just deformed like modeling clay against those rocks

You're right about the drag link...it works surprisingly well for something that was bent back into place using a hydraulic jack in the parking lot of a gas station!

Ed, I have a stock drag link sitting here if you need something to get back on the road. Its a bit crusty, but has rod ends in place and should drop right in.

speaking of which, your replacement drag link is in my garage whenever you want it...and for the tank, do you need to weld or would JB Weld do the trick instead?

We usually start rolling in around 6/6:30.

It's technically Springfield - http://www.kilroys.com/

Thanks for the offer Jeff! But I've been fortunate enough to get a replacement from Charles and Jeff. Though with the frequency that these things seem to get destroyed, I'm sure yours will come in handy some day for somebody!

Thanks Jeff. Unfortunately I think the JB weld will not be enough for the latest round of Rausch damage. I think some new metal will be needed to fix the tank. But it's not a difficult weld to make.

I need to talk to you about getting to your place and fabbing some armor. I have some stainless tube and AR400 plate on order.

-edit-

Oh I forgot to add that my right hella headlight glass has a crack down in the middle. Just another thing to add to the list of "Stuff that I broke at Rausch Creek" I'm not even sure how that crack occurred.

The crack came from driving through deep water with your lights on...ask me how I know!

Guys,

Do you know if a Series fuel tank will work on an early D90?

Weld or braze? I should think you could wire brush the area, lay a flap of steel over it and braze it in place.

I dunno. I've only ever used some brass wire that my dad brought home about 35-40 years ago. I think it's been about twenty since I brazed anything.
