I found out where my leaks are coming from on my truck.

It turns out the seals on the LT230 are fine. The weeping of the LT230 is through the bottom cover seal and the bottom 3 bolts. I have it off currently and need to replace it with silicone gasket maker and blue loctite.

The puddle-like leaks turned out to be diesel. The fuel filter is leaking and dripping directly onto the front driveshaft. The driveshaft then sprays the diesel all over the bottom of my truck. I need to figure out why it's leaking since it's on pretty tight...

The truck should be ready before Thursday.

You have done a fantastic job of redeeming yourself Ed. You were so close to becoming the new Pedro, and look at you now! Pedro is still Pedro

I have a stash of Tdi filters if you need one (and if the 200 is the same as the 300).

Is there a recommended torque setting for the inspection cover bolts?

Thanks Jason...I hope to find the source of the issue before replacing stuff.

I'm researching the torque settings right now, but it looks like loctite was specified by the factory. Makes sense as my bolts constantly loosen themselves due to vibration. I've attached what I have so far.

When is the last time you replaced the fuel filter? I do mine either every or every-other oil change. Aggressive yes, but cheap thing to replace.

I last replaced it a few months ago. The truck has seen about 400 miles since then. I believe it has been leaking ever since I replaced it, but I have only noticed it since I fixed the fuel tank (and gone to Rausch Creek)

It's very possible! Between the drive there, the wheeling, and the drive back, that was the most use the truck got since I received it.

Ray, would you like me to bring another scuba tank so you can have a matching pair? I don't know when it was last certified but I am sure it's due.

Hey, you can't be bringing competing items to the yard sale or heckling my customers. Find somewhere else to peddle your cheap Chinese knockoffs.

It's not competing. It's a buy one, get one free deal!

Ok. I won't bother bringing it to HH, but will bring it when I return your chain and scaffolding over the weekend.

Jonathan-
Cool, looking forward to it.
Charles-
Tks, glad Jeff is going to grab it-I already have a 15# Powertank setup and figured the SCUBA tank would give me something to mess with as an alternate for when the PT is getting refilled and such. Kinda belt and suspenders...particularly since my truck already as an air compressor under the seat but I'm compensating...
