Does Walid sell parts now ? Or did you somehow talk him into giving you one?

He should. Given my kids' lacrosse and basketball schedules, I drive by his place all the time. I stopped by Chantilly Land Rover during lunch and of course they did not have it. But for $38 and two days, they could. Gave Walid a ring leaving and he had a few extras and could part with one. There is enough LR's around here that he should start stocking the basic items. Perhaps that Puma 130 and 110 will be there by now. Will know in 45 minutes.

I'm not sure if that statement would be more funny if you actually know him, or if you don't.

Me and Ray Ray go a ways back. He's more of a shadowy figure you hear about, maybe catch a glimpse of his truck, but you never actually see him. Kinda like Sasquatch.

Pulled the fuel filter off but the threads on the replacement were smaller. LR box said ESR 4065 yet the filter said WNJ 101190. Got the wrong part. Fun fun. Will be leaving the 90 at home tomorrow.

You need a fuel filter for a 90? I am pretty sure I've got the right part and can bring it along if need be.

Jonathan's cute, his abrasive side grows on people-it's why he and Dan get along so well. He's also bitter b/c he works on Quantico...I was when I did.

cheers-

I'll stand by for that; having missed the past couple still puts me ahead of you for the past year (and this time last year I was in Afghanistan). But let me know if you're going I can drive behind you to cover your plates lest the cops try to pull you between Arlington and Kilroys.

I thought you were exploring the bottom of the sea looking for spanish gold or something this time?

I'm pretty sure he means in general, and not today specifically.

After promising to be back at Happy Hour for 2012 - I am backing out of the first one of the year.

February is looking better, though.

My only update to the beer drinking table story telling is that I got Huff's bracket bolted to my truck and now have an antenna mounted - it is really long (just bragging). I could not figure out how to get a work light mounted with the Stage One reverse light in the way - so I gave up on the work light. (Now I have to either find a buyer for a brand new Hella Matador light or send it back )

I also installed a new 12volt plug - permanent mount on the dash - behind a fuse (lesson learned).

Once I get my cardboard radiator muff artwork worked out in my head and onto the paper.... that will complete my Winter Romp preparations. We are looking good for a Friday, February 17th 5AM departure. (BTW - it looks like the Feb HH will be on Thursday Feb 16 - so the HH will not be long as I might be leaving early to catch much needed sleep before the long drive.)

Good intel with the part #s. Stepped out for "lunch", picked up and installed that Bosh fuel filter and no dice, it drove the same. Back to thinking clogged left cat. Charles has an IR gun for and complete y-pipe. Will compare the inlet/exit temps of both cats and do the 'ol switcheroo if needed tomorrow.
