Annapolis would be fun, but wouldn't work for a Friday for us.

Cmon, all you have to do it commit to it. If you had to go to the dentist on a Friday you'd knock off at 3pm wouldn't you? A boat is way more fun than the dentist!

With the schedule of a 9 month old, it would only work if we were to get a babysitter. Now if Doug wanted to put together a little day trip on the boat for everyone on a Saturday or Sunday . . .

Annapolis sounds like fun, but there is no way I am dragging the wife and kid to Annapolis on a Friday - let alone having to drive back home that night.

I do kinda like the idea of rotating the hosting of the happy hour at each of our abodes!

Just for thought,

I could host a Pool/Barbecue at my house. Kids would be able to tire themselves at the pool/yard. Wives can tire themselves Serving us (LOL I kid ), no issue with parking.

That would be 0 wins - 10 losses. We may have had no skill, but at least we were slow.

Where are you located? If it's Sykesville, that even less centrally located than Doug or I.

But I'm all for doing a round robin style happy hour location.

The only thought was , the Kids will be relaxed, we get to BS and the Ladies if they get tired of us they can be sipping wine and you know watching soaps *LOL*

i think i could make a local (NOVA) happy hour next Friday. Truck was inspected (and passed) for the first time in two years last week, so I've been emboldened to drive it everywhere.

if anyone is interested for a "destination" happy hour, I'll be down at our lake house this Friday through Saturday at Lake Anna. about a 1.5 hour drive from Fairfax. plenty of parking and a couple jet skis and ski boats to play with. the main house is being rebuilt this summer, so not going to be down there quite as often as usual and the "amenities" are slightly lacking. but bad day down there is still better than a good day, etc, etc.

I could easily be talked into a more family friendly locale than Jays-even if it meant a little driving.

Another place is fine with us too, just name it and we will be there. We are only in town for the weekend, with a wedding on Saturday, but I just wanted to catch up with all of you, I really don't care where.

But Jay's does have some pretty darn good quesadillas!!

I think we have come to our usual/classic stalemate which ends in the happy hour being at Jays.

I'll be down there as well with about 30 drunk people, I mean family members, this weekend. At least they will be spread out over three different houses. I hope.

As for happy hour, well, I'll try to make whatever you guys come up with as long as I can smoke cigars but, it will boil down to whether the wife is working late or not.. Which seems to be an every night thing these days..

Annapolis works for me when ever except for the weekend of the 10 and July 18th I tentatively have a brewery event at the Chile Man in Purcellville that day.

So are we good for... cough cough... Jay's... cough... cough... next Friday the 10th? I need to pick up my SG sliders from Greg and the HH is a good excuse since I wasn't invited to the wedding.

Ding Ding Ding!!! I got it! Since Greg is coming down for a wedding on Saturday, maybe we could crash the wedding? Free booze, food, and bridesmaids!!!!
