NOVA D90 engine install Saturday 2/12

This is more me asking for help than an event, but anyway....

I believe I will finally have the parts I need and sufficient preparation done to put the replacement engine into this D90 that has been hogging 2 garage bays all winter this coming Saturday. It would really help to have a hand lining up the engine and transmission, but if you have any interest at all in seeing it done, heckle me, or just shoot the breeze, feel free to come on by.

I'm not interested in hosting any other projects at the same time sorry. No space and usually this just means I'm helping someone else and not working on my own crap

PM/email/call if interested.

thanks,
charles

Any idea what time you are thinking of getting started? My parents are coming into town but may be able to help for a bit

I'm going to try get going around 8am. Depending on what parts have arrived i may have some faffing around I can do (clutch hydraulics), but expect to be getting to the meat and potatoes pretty early as will is sending another pilot bushing - the only thing stopping me putting in the engine.

Are you putting a 4.6 in? Have fun, wish I could help.

Oh come on. You can't sell the girlfriend on a lovely romantic weekend down to the nations capital? Take in a few sights, visit some museums, throw an engine into a D90...

If I'm not too hung over I'll try to make it. I think I still have directions to your place some where around here.

How many people does it take to install an engine? Please take pictures though!

You unsocial SOB. No pictures for you

It takes one. It's handy to have someone help align the engine and tranny and I can get one of my princesses to help (begrudgingly) but might as well have some fun with it.

Charles I would love to be there and lend you a good hand bud but, you have chosen the weekend of my 10th yr anniversary.
Brandy loves to work on trucks and cars, she is a good old redneck and does not mind getting dirty or shooting the breeze in a "shop" environment, but there is no way I can convince her to give up her anniversary to work on cars.
best of luck, hope to be able to lend a hand in the future...
