Hey, thanks for inviting us - we had a blast. Yeah we got the trailer home fine - pulls real nice. Oh and we got the 101 running/rolling. We just pulled the transmission brake shoes until Greg can rebuild the piston assembly cleaned/rebuilt/replaced which which making the hand brake bind.

x-mas in september

What a great day, thanks for organizing the event Tony.

And a big THANKS to Neil and Charles for helping me get the 101 rolling. It appears that I have a 2.5l diesel mated to a LT77 gearbox in the 101. The piston that activates the parking brake just needs to be rebuilt. Shouldn't be too difficult.

Then again, do I really need a parking break?

Check out that sweet serpentine belt conversion on that red '94. You could eat off that thing!

You're a ringer for the "oddities award" I'm trying to find a sponsor for . . .

Greg, any more pictures? I could use any and all hi-res versions for publicity and the program.

Loic, I'd be more than willing to pick up the press at Charles' and deliver it to your place if it could stop here for a few days in between . . .

Thanks,

Tony

Looks like it was a good time. If I had known that the beer festival I was working was going to be a hippy fest I'd have bailed on it despite the free beer straight from the fermenter.

Hey Tony,

Sorry I didn't get the Defender out for the show. I rode out with my wife's cousin though for the show. He isn't really into the trucks, but loves the old British roadsters, so he had a good time. I was surprised there were not more Rovers there. Okay, so what truck belonged to who?

Green ST with the Badger half cab?
Green SW "Hummer Recovery Unit"
Red ST
White ST

Beige 109 diesel
Green Range Rover

All board members? I was snapping photos with a Camera phone, most didn't turn out because of the sun glare, but here is what I have Tony..

Actually, the white '94 belongs to Brian Ricaurte (I think he's bricaurte on here, though he's seldom on), I left mine at home in lieu of the Rangie (wife and two dogs fit better in there than in the 90).

Sorry for the delay, I am traveling a bit these days....

No problem as long as you pick up and deliver! Return location at your convenience either my place (Herndon) or Charles' (in the boonies too! ;-) ). I assume Charles might need it soon as he is planning on doing his diffs, so he might prefer to get it back.

Oh yeah, and if you break, you fix; if you enhance I keep! ;-)

I may need to. Charles, what's your schedule on building those diffs? Or, when do you anticipate needing the press?

The diffs are going to be a bit - thinking more like a winter project. But in the very short term, does anyone know offhand if I'll need the press for any of the following which I'd like to do this Saturday:

panhard rod bushings
control arm bushings

Other than these bushings, I really don't need it right now.

You'll need it for all of them. Maybe we can touch base on Sunday and see if you're done with it.
