Muddy Chef August 9-11, Mystic CT

I understand this is the same weekend as the VOT, but to those of you looking for a cheaper, more laid back event this will prove to be a great alternative. It used to take place annually in Stowe VT, but has been relocated to southeastern CT this year. Land Rover gathering, off road event, and cooking competition all in one. The details are in this flyer, if there is anything not mentioned, feel free to pm me or post here!

-Rob

Also: trail scouting for this event will be this sunday, 7/14, if anyone is interested pm me for the details

trail scouting went really well on Sunday! There is something for everyone, mild trails for those with long drives home not looking to break anything, and then there are some that are quite a bit more technical. If there are enough participants we can break the group in two, where Eric will lead the easier trails and I will lead the more advanced ones.

I know there are a ton of guys in the New England area on the board and not all of you can be heading to VOT. This will be a great family outing to end the summer off right. Camping is not necessary, if anyone is willing you are more than welcome to make a day trip out of it on saturday.

ALSO: first official event sponsor is Atlantic British!

Roversnorth and American Harvest (organic spirits) stepped up as event sponsors as well. Friday night, American Harvest will be throwing a complimentary cocktail party (read: Rover event with FREE BOOZE). The koa has no spots left, but contact me and we'll work out some arrangement.

Between this and the VOT I am a bit sad. I brought my oldest up to Stowe for either the first or one of the first Muddy Chef's events. It was a few months after I had purchase my white 90 and was the off-road/road trip it in.

Hopefully you guys will do another one. Thanks for organizing and please post pics!
