Mikes truck on the trail?????

Mikes truck actually made it out into the woods. And it even drove itself home!!!
Admittedly the bonnet did come up a few times, but what more can you expect.

Wussy! Hey! WHen I was waiting for everyone to show up in the wind and rain it was a bit cold, people were pulling over and asking if I was ok and if I needed help! But I had it running. And I thought About shorts, until I got out of bed and it was only 50 in the house

It was a great trip finally! Jimmy was actually a timid driver! But it his rear shocks were so bad he would have been better off if he just didn't have any at all. The crawler gears kick ASS! It gives you that exrta bit of control so you rarely need to touch the clutch. My ECU is a little screwy and running rich and the stepper is holding the idel a bit high when moving at any speed, but with the crawler gears and the screwy idel I spent most of the day with both feet on the floor (not on either peddel)

Can't wait to get out again!

Now its similar to my truck with the no feet thing on the trails. I love it like that... so much control..

Yep, he was wheeling.

That's me to the left of the truck standing on the edge of a 30 foot drop into the quarry below.
Jimmy is doing an expert job directing Mike so he doesn't fall in.

Those 37's and crawler gears make a difference

Hey only 35s! Funny Garry said the same thing, but he thought I had 38s, maybe I need bigger tires?

Speaking of 35's Mike, remind me what other suspension and drivetrain mods you have? My tires are looking a bit rough (tread is fine but lots of rock rash, sidewall chunks and even one small sidewall pinhole that will cause them to air down when parked at certain positions ). If I buy new tires I am very tempted to "be like Mike" and go to 35s. Just want to make sure I'm not headed down a slippery upgrade path to accomodate them. I seem to remember you saying that you had not made a lot of changes to accomodate them, but just wanted to be sure.

I currently have a 2" OME suspension lift with roughly 33's, stock shafts and gearing.

I didn't do anything to it , I bought it with 35s. But it also came with rockware trailing arms. Not sure if anything was done to the front other then 3" springs. As far as other not so needed upgrades, I broke 2 rear diffs so I threw in a detroit locker and so far so good. Oh and I changed the rear driveshaft, it ate U-joints in the stock shaft, the new one has 2 times the amount of useable travel. Oh and for more flex longer shocks all around with rockware shock mounts in the rear.

Man the only pictures that get posted of me are in water! And to let everyone know I backed out when it started getting deep and sticky rather then the 3rd low and boot it!
