FINAL DECISION:
- Meet at the parking lot outside of Dicks starting at 10:30 AM on June 29th.
- Walk to famous Dave's BBQ for lunch at 12-12:30 +/-

I know a parking lot is lame - but a lot of people signed up for that - and no one is responding now. And the worst thing would be for us all to be in different places (including a few people that are coming, that are not regulars on this site). At least this will get us together and be a good lunch. We will plan the next one for a better site, over some BBQ - we can plan to do a park, caravan, Dimitris, etc.

Come early if you want to hang around the parking lot, meet each other, or have Gary look at something on your truck. Come by 12:00 if you just want to do lunch.

Thanks! Flagg

Not that I'll be able to make it, but a full address is probably good to add! ;-)

Did you decide on the location? Are most (any) coming solo, or bringing signifigant other and/or kids?

P.S. -- I'm flattered to be named twice, but can only come up with one Defender to bring along, sorry...

Scott - location is Dick's - followed by Famous Dave's for Lunch - see post #41 above. WHAT DO YOU MEAN you do not have two Defenders???? Sorry - I got confused with all the messages. I will fix it next time I post the list.

I was hoping we would get 15 trucks - we might end up with that. Or people might still sign up - we might still get 25

As far as significant others or kids - I saw bring them!

Sorry about the parking lot - we will do something better next time. BUT Famous Dave's is kid friendly. I think my wife and 17 month old son will come in a separate car. They will be missing the lunch - because it will be during his nap time. BUT - he points to my Defender every time he is in our driveway. I don't think he has ever seen another. I can't wait for him to see several.

My parents may come up to see the trucks. Also my sister, husband, and 2 year old will probably be there. They are visiting from LA. They have 2 rovers out there Don't know if they will do lunch, but probably.

Yeah...you may want to get a total head-count for Dave's Famous. Count my wife and 2 kids 'in'.

Wife and two kids in the Defender (or are they coming in a support vehicle)? If so, I want to see this car seat arrangement...

Yep, all strapped to a roof rack. Perhaps I should take the back roads because I'm sure the state troopers wouldn't award me father-of-the-year for my setup.

Actually, the rear seat is perfect for the kiddies.

I like the idea of getting a head count. I will assume 1 person per truck, unless I hear otherwise.

My wife and son will come, but leave before lunch. But I think my Mom, Dad, Sister, Sister's husband, neice, are all in: Here is the new list.

1) 1951 Series I, 80
2) 1960 109 (or 1991 Range Rover - Ren Ching)
3) 1963 109 Station Wagon (slorocco)
4) 1966 Series II, 109 Hybrid Coiler Station Wagon
5) 1980 Military Pickup
6) 1983 Defender 110 Diesel CSW (Maryland 110)
7) 1988 Range Rover
8) 1995 Defender 90, ST (Flagg 5 + 1 baby)
9) 1995 Defender 90 (Rvrchuck 2 + 2 kids)
10) 1994 Defender 90 (Treuwer)
11) 1995 Defender 90 (Jeepeytr)
12) 1995 Discovery
13) 1995 Range Rover Classic LWB
14) 1995 Range Rover Classic LWB (Emerson00)
15) 1997 Defender 90, ST (Mjekogian)

Its a parking lot, with paved roads leading up to it. It shouldn't get too dirty, or destroy the garage queen status too much...

Yeah, he's a bit over the top with his baby...I give him a ton of crap for it. Maybe if he actually shows we can offer him a diaper and a bottle for it.

He should see my 90 with all the dents and faded paint on the hood. Bet he'd cry.

He's sub 10k miles on the clock with his queenie. I'm sure he'd cry. I think it's a '95, go ahead and mark him as a mayhaps.

Chuck,

I will mark him on the list with the next update. Sub 10k miles is impressive - but that almost seems like he drives it too little to be good. That is about 7-800 miles per year.

He would definitely cry if he saw the leaf stains on my faded hood........This will be terrible if he comes to the event and cries all through lunch

Just kidding - We would LOVE to have him. It would be nice to see a really beautiful example of a 1995 D90. It will bring back memories!
