You should have taken an up close shot of the owner Dave, that would have been funny!

Speaking of Steve, many of you know Steve, who shoots photos and such for LRO magazine.
I took a picture of his 110 and the unique guage pod he made.

1. Steve's 110
2. Guage pod
3. Guage pod-another angle that D2 owners might recognize...

Thanks go to everyone involved that made this event a great one for me! That will start with the ROAV folks of course (Dave Short, Mike Boggs, etc.). Thanks a lot to the NOVA crowd for letting pitch my J**P tent on the edge of the camp area and not setting up the bond fire in the middle of it. Thanks for everyone that stopped by and kept us laughing throughout those 4 days (you know who you are....). Still impressed with Raub driving up and down from FL in that 2.5NA, that's some serious commitment.
Thanks for the sponsors of the event! I scored a Overland magazine and a Series LR plate repro from Safari HP.
Rovers North set up an excellent RTV course where, of course, I was not going to try to outshine the newbies! [Zack... No need to add insult to injury! ]

I'm happy to report that beside a loose starter, loose rear diff guard bolts, dead rear axle bushings (maybe A-arm ball joint?) and a slightly overheating engine, I had no issue during the trip beside maybe gaining a few pounds from our health eating habits!

Here are a few pictures/videos I shot. Nothing like the professional quality stuff that was posted here before, but I hope you will enjoy a few of them anyway:

P.S.: let me know if you want any of those taken down. I'm typically not one to censure anything at the gate.

Follow up question:
Were the trails also on Sam's property?
Some said they were and others that they were not.

Thanks to all who put on such a nice event.

Robert -

I am not sure I understand your question but I will answer as best I can.

The trails off of Mountain Lake Road (RT 700) that were accessed through the locked gate are all on Sam Moore's property. I may be so bold as to say that hose trails are ROAV exclusive.

The other 'scenic' trails are state / county / forestry service operated public roads. These are the trails up on top of the mountain near the Appalachian Trail.

My photos of the guys in the mud are the public roads. The photos of guys on rocks are from Sam Moore's property.

Does that help?
