We scouted the property the other weekend. It has a fantastic water front and some very good opportunities for creating some great trails. We just have to widen out some ATV trails and create some hill climbs. 3 Amegos part two.

Why do you care - you aren't going anyway...

As long as the camping is nice and a bunch of nice folks show up to spend the weekend socializing and talking Rover stuff it's all good. Trails are part of the fun of course but the first few MAR's I went to back in the mid-90's didn't have trails and we still had a great time.

Your anti-ROAV schtick is getting boring....

Because getting information out on the forum is a good idea to generate more members showing up at the event.

Plus I don't know about you personally, but I'm yet to meet someone on these boards that does NOT want to run trails when they attend an event, therein this information is important.

Blake,If you go to the ROAV board you can read for yourself (link posted above). Mike Crandall a member of this forum posted above he had scouted the property and that it had lots of atv trails that need to be widened and that they intend to cut in several steep hill climbs. Camping will be in a large flat field right on the James River- almost a mile of river frontage.

Mar

I saw the map of the property and the trails last week at the Summer Rally- looks like a great location. I will hopefully be getting down to one of the work weekends to help with the trail prep.

Also- I agree with Jack, its the people that make the ROAV events so much fun- even in the rain and fog last week....we had a great time.

You never know where I'm gonna be. I'm kind of like a ninja. I have not been to a ROAV event in years but I still get my pics put into the ROAV Gear Box news letter. I'm good like that.

Yeah, back in 1979 I did not have a color TV. I played with little green plastic Army men and had wars in my sand box. I had a great time.

I don't remember paying $100.00 to sit around and whack my dick, though. I, for one, could sit around socializing and talk Rovers for a lot less.

Anti-ROAV??? I just asked how the trails were. Is that a hard question to answer? I hear it asked all the time.

I'm just saying, not trying to start an arguement, but "a few atv trails that need to be widened" doesn't cover much, I was looking for a more number related answer. I know not everything has been cut/scouted/decided on, but I'm sure someone has a roundabout number they are willing to throw out there. 30 trails? 40? 50?

Let me put it this way, I have to give 1 months notice on work for any leave, I'd like to be able to weigh my options.

Jeezzz, a pretty simple question. I'll try this way. With an event that will most likely host over 200 trucks,(less the ones going to the cove), it would be nice to know the quanity and quality of the trails for this site. I am sure you guys have taken this into consideration, since the last few new venues (since Pearls pond) have been adequate. Not everyone wheels stock trucks, some of us like the challenge.
Its a damn shame that there has to be 2 events on the same dates, but thats out of my control. I have had a blast at every event I have been at no matter how large or small. I can only hope there will be alot of trails with alot of obstacle's, and as always every level of mods and experince considered.
My $.02
