if the hound dog was the beagle that was up at registration, that dog was a hunting dog from up the road. The owners were contacted but they said it wouldnt make sense to pick him up since he would just come right back. There are a few dogs that were on the farm running around when we were cutting the trails, so I think Mike is correct about that too.

I like bringing my dog as well, but I realize not everybody likes dogs or wants them around so I try to keep her on a leash or in my truck...plus id be crushed if she got hurt because I was too careless to look after her.

I had countless dogs visit me while cooking or eating in our encampment. Potentially irritating and wondered why the owners would just let them go stray like that. I will however say that all the dogs that visited where well behaved, did not beg, and appeared to just explore and move on.

Actually made me envious that all the rover dogs about where so well behaved. My two beagles back home are spawns of the devil. If I had brought them and left them loose, no less than 10 tents would have been destroyed, countless bacon stolen, and at least half of the grass fields on the family side would be so pock marked it would have looked like a B52 carpet bombed the area. And they would never have come back.

I'm in Marks camp. If I brought my dog, I'd be "that guy". She's sweet and harmless, and the most damage she'd cause is knocking things over with her tail wagging. But she'd roam the place and eat anything your offered or left out if I didn't tie her down, and it would be more work than fun. That and she really doesn't like being in the truck on trail rides.

Well? Anything good? Perfunctory mud hole vids are fine, but I wanna see breakage, chit flying off into the trees, the sound of axles letting go. Things getting bent. A rollover would be awesome. Even someone catching air...anybody? Running over the dog does not count.

Yeah... there wasn't a lot of opportunities to break stuff this year.
