He was just as bent about this as the rest of us. The Adamson family/ Pearls Pond hosts have numerous defenders so no mistaking what was seen.

Who's got event pictures ? Post em up.

I heard that there was also some confusion on whether or not ROAV had permission to be there from all the right people or not. I heard there was a confrontation on the trail between a group and a land owner who walked in on foot. All this was second hand.

Probably a good thing I didn't go...sounds like my truck! Am I right to assume that there were probably only 2-3 trucks there matching that description?

Second on the pics! JackW is the only one to post like 2 pics on the ROAV site so far.

Please be assured that we did have permission to be there from the Adamson's.
Part of the terms of access was that nobody could go near the house.

Two weeks before MAR, and with the Adamson's permission, Chuck & I ran all of the trails and put up tape & flags blocking access to all places where nobody should have ventured.

I saw the tape on the road that leads up the hill to the house. It was broken in half on the ground. Someone actually drove through it.

I like the big white one-always seems to be parked in the pictures

Tommy is correct, we had permission to use part of the farm until someone passed the house early Saturday, running through an area marked closed. I spoke to Mr. Adamson on Saturday, and the decision was made to close the property entirely to make sure no damage was done.

Rumor is you got permission from the land owners son, and not the land owner himself.

That is what I was told Saturday afternoon by a reliable source. I'm glad I got the chance to run the trails because I bet a land rover will never travel them again.

That's the message I got. My source said, and I quote, "I had a lengthy conversation in person with Adamson on the W. River Trail. His ROAV anger was surreal".

It's not that I give a shit or anything, but if ROAV did not have permission, or did not hold up to their end of the deal, then that is fucked up.

The true story, with all the juicy details, will come out soon enough.

I was very disappointed this year. It was great to see everyone and I loved hanging out by the fire and drinking beers and talking to people, but as far as trails go it was very disappointing. The next day we heard that Pearls Pond was closed. I was debating about coming to the Cove right then and there, but with only one day left we decided to stay.

You should have came on up, we had permission to be on our trails. I think a group got off the trails at about 3am Saturday, and were back on the trails by 7am. Good times..

No pics of the G/F...Tease.
Kidding.
Thanks Kenny...Anxiety level is now down to 7/10, almost tolerable.

BTW - You guys are nuts to go through that mud...I cringe just thinking of the damage mud causes. Then again...restoring is more fun.

Also, the blue pick-up is bad ass...I see one in my future.

The club had permission. Mr Adamson arrived during the day Saturday and found people on the property after the out of bounds incident and his phone call with Chuck closing the property to the club for the weekend. Cassel Jr was @ the mud pit Saturday afternoon and Sr was @ Willow Hill Saturday evening . Sounds like more substantial barriers need to be put up to keep certain idiots in black 90's where they are supposed to be.

No prob.

I just spent 3 hours power washing my truck cleaning every inch until red mud stopped flowing from it. Truck is clean again.

I will agree with Dan....It was good to see some old friends and meet some new.... Drink and BS around the camp fire..but the lack of trails and closing of Pearls Pond killed it Saturday. Luckily enough we rode the hell out of Pearl's Pond on Friday. The better trails were at Pearl's Pond and if the mud pit had not kept a good amount of people occupied on Saturday, I don't know what we would have done...
